To clear things up, Jason Dean was a good character for him.

ignore War Machine in the above poster (he's not in it)

well, the build-up was too slow, i was thinking is this a spy or a superhero movie? it only feels like an Avengers movie in the midway mark, there's some good slapstick, some good broad comedy, even if the climactic battle looks like Transformers

Chris Evans also makes a pretty good Captain America, even though I found that movie a bit short

major grumble? Loki is the main villain, couldn't they pick a more representative one like Kang the Conqueror?

7/10

The Avengers was well done, I though, especially considering the magnitude of the task. I think something they did particularly well was give each hero enough screen time to satisfy fans of each one. The only negative thing about it, from my point of view, is that it's very much Hollywood action made for the masses and it's not something that will leave much of a lingering impression on me.

I think I could agree on a 7/10 overall. Very entertaining movie for sure. Still not quite as good as Watchmen in my opinion.

Saw Jurassic Park last night, good movie. I've only ever seen from the middle to the end because I come in on it on TV by the time it's almost done. Finally saw it all the way through.

8.5/10

another major complaint is that it missed out on several integral members:-

Ant Man/Giant Man/Goliath/Yellowjacket
The Wasp
The Vision
Wonder Man
Black Panther
Luke Cage/Power Man (he was in Thor briefly)

I think that by cramming more elements in there, you would have to make the movie much longer in order for it to work or the movie as a whole would suffer when there are too many characters and not enough screen time for each.

I thought it was fine as it was. Just enough characters to not make it confusing, have some interesting inter-hero-drama and to not steal focus away from the general plot.

they could have used Ant Man and The Wasp instead of Hawkeye and Black Widow

and if they're too small, use Goliath and The Wasp

they were the original members, after all, along with Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Cap

I am watching the new Sherlock film tonight. Quite liked the first one, but it dragged towards the end.
