Ok, not so much references but just the overall vibe of it. I was on my tablet last night via Wifi when I first read the officespacegate post and immediately thought of Peter loading the program into his PC via a 3.5" hard disc and freaking out watching the "loading" bar slowly creeping across his screen.

Fantastic movie. Very raw, very human. It's light on dialogue and heavy on imagery, with unique and intense mood and feeling:
