I spend more time watching Food Network than anything else other than baseball, so naturally I loved this movie... |

Just watch Alien already, easily my favorite "old" film. A lot of those blue-marked movies are in my NetFlix queue: A Clockwork Orange, Heat, Mulholland Drive, and Sin City. Technically I've seen part of the Green Mile, and I have Kill Bill V2 sitting around here on VHS somewhere... |

Different than most of the movies I watch, but hey I enjoyed it... |

A Clockwork Orange and Mulholland Drive are must watch! :D as is Kill Bill vol 2, you need to watch vol 2 before vol 3 comes out! You have about 3 or 4 years yet though. |

^Great documentary. Those were some crazy years. |
Scarface again. Barnard17 influenced my dvd choice tonight! :)

Brilliant, almost poetic at times. Really interesting characters as well and the relationships between them. |
Haven't been in this thread in a while, as I've been mostly watching series like Weeds, The Wire, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, etc. instead of movies. But the other night I watched Max Payne (unrated director's cut), and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

If for some reason you decide you want to watch this too don't research it first! It ruins the movie! |

^What a great comedy. The smile hasn't left my face for a second. These people know how to throw a party... and I'm definitely getting that soundtrack! |

Finally got round to watching this. Bought it for £3 and it's money well spent! Really good, not quite as good as Hot Fuzz though. |

Crap. http://www.dvdnear.com/images/SLC-Punk-0767837398-L.jpg More crap. It didn't even have a hardcore song in its soundtrack! |

I watched The Business last night. I enjoyed it but couldn't help thinking it wanted to have better production or cinematography. I'm ok with it not being of higher quality, it just felt like it was striving for it. It was just lacking in some way, but it's still a good flick.

I kind of felt with Anchorman I was laughing.. but in a guilty pleasure kind of way, it was just really silly. Almost like one of them bad spoof movies except quite funny. |

But yeah, I watched it nearly every day the summer it came out on DVD. We started every afternoon with a bowl of cereal and a few scenes of Anchorman. Me and my friends pretty much had the entire movie memorized. Just look at the cast: Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Seth Rogan... there were a ton of young up and coming comedians in that film... |

Up In the Air
George Clooney works for an agency that is hired by other businesses to fire their employees. Clooney is a loner and spends like 300 days a year traveling (or something like that). Good movie. It's by the producers of Juno. Has it's funny moments. But it's really like one of those movies that you see once and that's enough. :) |

Directed by Fred Durst. Not quite as equal of a gift to society as Limp Bizkit, but a good movie nonetheless. For cereals though, a really good film. Don't just discredit it because Durst directed... |

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...ano/869982.jpg Both good looks into the world of metal, however both are missing vital pieces of information that I'm going to blame on time constraints than ignorance or an impartial viewpoint. Sam Dunn has even gone on the record saying if he could do six hours worth of material he would, and even then you would only be able to scratch the surface of metal as a whole. If you're curious about learning more about metal these are good starting points, but if you're looking for something with more of an "umph" then you're better off looking for other documentaries. In Metal: A Headbanger's Journey the scene with Gaahl from Gogoroth is hilarious. |

Requiem for a Dream
http://reelflicks.files.wordpress.co...or_a_dream.jpg first time i've ever watched this. from the second i pressed play, i knew i was in for something that wasn't going to be the smoothest ride. in short, it was powerful and something eye opening and intense. the very last scene with the mom and the game show brought tears to my eyes. not for everyone, but something everyone should see. damn good movie. ^An instant favourite. So fucked up. It weirdly reminded me of a 1968 movie entitled Candy (not the one with Heathledger) -Which was a kind of adaptation of the book by Voltaire, Candide. It's this stranger to reality, entrapped in this childish naivety, adventuring into the land. Just twistedly beautiful. |
Repo Men. Feckin' ace.
