The Master isn't linear (well kinda but like...only 75%). TWWB is, but I was referring to the plot turns and resolution.

What about the resolutions? Honestly, I don't even remember the ending of The Master.

I'll hop in.

The Master > TWBB > Inherent Vice > Phantom Thread > Boogie Nights > Magnolia > Punch Drunk Love

The Master's one of the best movies of all time, much less PTA's best film. And Inherent Vice is extremely overrated. Don't forget to put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Watched Megan Leavey last night mainly because I've had a huge crush on Kate Mara ever since Shooter.

Much better than I thought it would be. Chick was pretty bad ass and spent years trying to get her Marine buddy back.

The Last Jedi.

There was a span of about 40 minutes that was pretty good, tight & kept you fixated.

Overall, it was ok.

45 Years

An absolute tour de force of acting, pacing, and inward-looking cinematography (meaning that it matches the character's emotions beautifully). The plot unfolded in a slow burning way and ended on a note that initially left me wanting more. However, after thinking on it for a bit, I realize that it's actually an incredibly realistic approach to the tale of a relationship dying at an old age and the disillusionment that comes with that. Recommended to those who enjoy films propelled by stellar performances. 8/10
