A Serious Man is by far my favorite of them all, don't really know why, it just speaks to me.

Fargo's classic my dude. It doesn't beat out No Country for their best film, but it's worthy of top 5 of their films.

You like really complex movies? I’m not sure where I max out in terms of complicated plots, if that’s what you mean. What movies do you really like?

Also, did you find the financial troubles of Macy’s character fascinating at least? That’s what I liked best- how he got himself so ****ed up. I really liked when he was trying to arrange that business deal with his father-in-law but really wasn’t bringing anything to the table.

The kidnapping and all that was entertaining too but the best stuff was what I described above. It sort of reminded me of Glengarry Glen Ross but not as exciting to me.

I'll just watch it and do a fleshed out review. It's a great film for repeated viewings imo, it has so much to offer. I could watch it at any time tbh, one of my all time faves. I'm still picking up new things about it after at least 20 viewings.

If you haven’t read True Grit I recommend reading it, even if you’ve seen the movie.

It’s an amazingly well constructed novel. It’s super super tidy.

Of the movies I’ve seen up there I thought No Country was very easily the best.

Mine is kind of fluid, it'll probably be different 6 months from now. No Country is a solid choice but I really enjoy how they display such introspective concepts in Fargo and A Serious Man.

I'm glad that these dudes were born.

I didn't dislike the film, it just didn't live up to my expectations after hearing people jerk off about it for ten years. Though, I am not a fan of the Coen Bros generally.

Also, speaking of critically acclaimed movies I will trash in this thread:

Just saw the Florida Project and it literally felt like babysitting someone's ****ty children. Hated it. It was only two hours long but it definitely took more than that off my lifespan.
