JUNO. she is a brilliant creation. despite all being a bit contrived the classic American indie films of the last 5 years have all been captivating character pieces. loved it.

NETWORK. can't believe i hadn't seen this before either...it's a 70's classic with Faye Dunaway as a ruthlessly expoitative and cynical exec of a TV network. turns out to be alot more than what you'd expect, i' almost certain this will be up for a remake soon with a star studded cast. ker-ching!

while I'm on about films could somebody tell me why a sequel to the Big Lebowski would NOT be a good idea? the Dude abides...

Because the Big Lebowski is already wholly complete in its incompleteness. Also, it wouldn't have Steve Buscemi. Lastly, because it is almost inevitable that it wouldn't live up to the original and thus be a disappointment.

Just finished watching, about 10 minutes ago....The Big Lebowski.

Weird.

Maybe not though because it's easily my most watched movie. Whenever I'm stuck for choice, I just put it on. It is perfect.

your logic is ofcourse, flawless...but in the grand scheme of crappy sequels it would at least be an intriguing move. Too many hours getting baked, listening to Funkadelic and watching this movie as a teen, probably.
But still i really enjoyed Clerks II! Well, most of it. You can't go wrong with King Diamond and VHS-era icons

Gotta love Van Damme. He can't act, his films are badly directed and the action looks tame compared to todays wire fu mayhem, but he is a guilty pleasure. 3.5/5
