****ing awful. Sup-par acting, horribly cliche characters, bland dialogue. It takes the idea of a school shooting and makes it almost funny. Half the movie is just people walking with the camera following them. Also probably the worst and most unnatural kiss scene ever caught on tape. 2/10

This is a 're-imagining' of this:

Alan Clarke's Elephant

Not sure if you can view this overseas. Strangely powerful http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elephant_(1989_film) and far better than the Gus Van Sant crapfest.

basically a rehash of the Pink Panther/Johnny English forrmula, underdog spy/cop does well, it is beautiful throughout and highly enjoyable and funny

certainly much better than its predecessor, although most of the stuff in the movie will go way over kids' heads, it's the first real genuinely adults only Pixar movie

7/10

i'm sitting at a cafe but looked over that Jackhammer and will watch when home tonight.....

i've wanted Van Sant's blood since he pulled the bones of Hitchcock out and brutally raped them....

i always thought the obvious premise of Elephant was good and probably needs to be explored but i agree with both of you....seriously what a bunch of crap

go watch Drugstore Cowboy....it is possibly his most redeeming film

no hats on the bed though

Pretty awesome movie. It knew it was gonna be artsy, but I never expected it to be as much as it was. But that wasn't a bad thing. Really slow, but not boring, the first 40ish minutes. The pawn shop scene is when the movie goes into a higher gear (see what I did there?!) and stays there. BRUTAL violence and really great lighting and cinematography. Pretty good acting all around. If I would compare it to anything, it would be the pacing of Breaking Bad, the look of Enter the Void and the atmosphere of There Will Be Blood.

8.5/10

Beastly

Words cannot describe how much this sucked. It is, without competition, the worst movie I have seen this year. Halfway through it I felt embarrassed for watching it even though I watched it by myself. After that I took a shower but that didn't wash away the feeling of anger that this movie made me feel.

Mr Nobody

A great movie. Jared Leto should stop making crappy music and start acting more

Love that movie, it's quite similar to the concept of The Butterfly Effect but Mr. Nobody is a superior film in my view. Like The Butterfly Effect it screws with both your head and your emotions and I love films that do that.

This is one of the funniest animated movies I've seen in a while. The first half had me rolling. Will Ferrell is alot funnier when I don't have to look at him, and between him, Tina Fey, David Cross and Jonah Hill, they couldn't have picked a better voice cast to pull off that kind of humor. Watch it!

all of the Basket Cases are pretty unnerving

the original is still the creepiest, though
