Do you mean my ranking for Tarantino movies?

If so:

Kill Bill 1 > Pulp Fiction > Kill Bill 2 > Inglourious Basterds > Resovoir Dogs > Death Proof

Never seen Jackie Browne.

It's alot more like Pulp Fiction, and not so much like his newer movies. It has alot less "flash" than his newer films. Might as well give it a shot and watch it, it was a good movie, just not one of my favourites.

Alright, that's sort of the answer I was expecting. I'll definitely check it out then.

You're higher on the Kill Bills than I am. It's also kinda tempting to include True Romance even though he didn't direct it, only wrote it. It still has a Tarantino feel. Me:

Pulp Fiction > Inglourious Basterds > Reservoir Dogs > Jackie Brown > Death Proof > Kill Bill > Kill Bill 2

Pulp Fiction is clearly the best. I rate Inglourious Basterds and Reservoir Dogs nearly identically. The bottom four are all okay films that I rate relatively similarly...

What was mediocre about Ingourious Basterds?

It's not like there was anything mediocre about it, it's just his whole approach to movie-making that I don't really like. It seems like in his later films he really substitutes substance for image and style. Not only that, but his stuff is so stylized that it makes me feel like I'm watching a girl after a face lift, a boob job, liposuction, etc. It just seems extremely fake, which also diminishes the impact of the actual story.

Basically I like style in a movie when it complements the storyline. Tarantino doesn't do that in my opinion.

I think he can still write a terrific script and Inglourious Basterds exemplified that. Col. Hans Landa and Lt. Aldo Raine being two of his greatest characters. I laughed more during Basterds than any of his other movies. Sure, it didn't all tie together as beautifully as Pulp Fiction, but I thought the story remained a clever one...
