The Secret In Their Eyes (El Secreto De Sus Ojos)
Ahhh it's such an amazing Argentinian film that my boyfriend introduced me to. One of my favourites now <3
I definitely recommend it to everyone here!

I loved the book as a kid and the film too and although I haven't seen the film for probably 15 years, this S.E set at a knockdown price (£7) was enough to tempt me.

Great kooky little film and 75p too!

75p again and although it's far fetched it's still a good watch on a Friday night.

Errr 75p again and I have never seen this either.

A pound this time. Heard good things about this so it's worth the gamble of a pound!

That is no gamble that movie is apart of my childhood I never want to let go of. The book and movie are equally as good also, which often isn't the case. That was the beginning of the real brat pack. It seemingly starred everyone in Hollywood, thats a steal for a pound. Good score.

Not a movie but bought this the weekend:

My first experience with the series but I had my best mate banging on in my earoles all weekend that I should watch it so I got this set of the first 2 seasons.

Yes I like cheese. We all need to switch off now and then.

I always find it a good marker if I have difficulty finding an image for a film, it means it's that more of a cult item. Shot in 18 days in the Mexican desert, it's a Sci Fi themed run and hide assassin movie really that harks back to those sorts of film you would watch on a Sunday afternoon and secretly enjoy.
Brilliantly shot and all the emphasis is on character and not action. Much better than it should be and it was a major triumph at many geeky Sci Fi festivals!

Must find that Outsiders on Blu-Ray, nothing here for it that I see.

The Outsiders is my favorite book of all-time, and the movie is great (see if you can spot Tom Waits in his blink and you miss it cameo)

Brazil, I have yet to see, but wanna buy. Going to pick up the Criterion Collection release soon.

As for movies I picked up:

I couldn't wait for Christmas, though won't be surprised if I get a few more copies, haha.

But I had to get it. Reason being when I saw it in theatres, there was a few moments where I wished it had subtitles, so I could understand Bane a little better. I knew I had to watch it this way, so I could get the full experience. At times I found his dialogue to be hard to follow. Now I can watch it in a way where I can get it all.

(Finally found myself a copy at a reasonable price; complete and in mint condition.)
