All time favourite movie? (albums, fan, copyright, cover, quote)

Although I wasn't all that impressed with "Land of the Dead", but I do like John Leguizamo. And the new "Dawn of the Dead" was good, that only thing I didn't like about it was that it didn't stick with the whole slow-moving-zombies thing. How is it that they thought they could get away with zombies that could run as fast as a moving car? But if I remember correctly, George A. Romero wasn't involved with the making of that one, isn't that right??

The remake of "Night of the Living Dead" was good, but the end of the original one was so much better (in my opinion).

Th bonus point is that the director of the NOTLD remake was the highly regarded f/x man for both Dawn and Day-Tom Savini.

Ah...Tom Savini. Making people who eat other people's intestines look good since the 70's. God bless him... He was in the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" as the Sheriff, remember? I just remembered that.

He started out as a war photographer for Uncle Sam in the Vietnam war and recognised the futility of it all. I am impressed that you have heard of Romeros films.

Well, the only movies I've seen of his are the "Dead" movies, but yeah, I love 'em! I actually love zombie movies in general.

I didn't know that about Tom Savini being a war photographer. But it explains alot...

yeah, i had my stage as a teen when i was living as closely to fight club as i could.. but that passed quickly. i still generally agree with the philosophy, and i still love the story, directing and character development. and i always caught the irony you speak of.. the man giving the speech that if "we are gods unwanted children, so be it," happens to be a millions-per-movie superstar. also, i liked the movie a little more than i liked the book, which is saying a lot coming from me.

Hey!...What other Romero films would you recommend for someone who's only seen the "Dead" ones?

fight club is by far my favorite movie, but there is a lot of symbolism that chuck palahniuk (author of 'fight club') is able to convey in the book that really isnt as apparent in the movie. it was also a great read. he has a unique writing style. most of his books are good.

i am also a fan of the usual suspects, tombstone, snatch, lock stock and two smoking barrels, and revolver.
