I've been working on many many games lately.

Recently I picked up Shadow of War, Wizard of Legend, Arkham Asylum, Mass Effect 1 and 2 and Slay the Spire.

Shadow of War is by far the best game in the Middle Earth games. It pretty much takes everything that was great about its predecessor and improved it without ruining anything.

Anyone else excited to hear more about Fallout 76? Im staying away from rumors because I want to be surprised. I hope its great.

You haven't played Arkham Asylum yet?! Oh if only I could play it again for the first time. Pretty much the best Metroid game since Super Metroid. I say that without having played the Prime series but I sincerely doubt it can compare because it legit makes you feel like ****ing Batman. And Poison Ivy's area is one of the best gaming levels ever. Killer Croc's too. And anything involving Scarecrow. You'll be pretty much chewing out your own throat to go play Arkham City after you're done and OMG it's just as good for different reasons but the same reasons at the same time and Jesus Christ those two games are a combined top 10 game for me. I refuse to choose between them.

I'm working my way through series of games I've never played and the Arkham series is up there as well as Mass Effect. I love it so far. The combat feels so good and I'm glad Shadow of War basically shares that combat style. Definitely one of the best combat styles to ever be put into a game.

I hope fallout 76 washes away the disappointment that was fallout 4.

My friend keeps telling me this. "Best fighting system I've played" he says.

I'd say it's easily one of the best combat systems I've ever played.

Definitely leaning more to this side on the fighting system. Not being a contrarian here, but I think it's gotta be in the "one of the worst" box and not the "one of the best" box, as far as fighting systems are concerned. It just doesn't feel engaging to me after a while, so I stopped playing those Arkham games.

It's weird that it doesn't feel engaging to you when you can have 10-15 people fighting you at once. I feel more engaged because I have to be selective of who I'm fighting every second.

Yeah but the counter attack button is so effective that you can just mash attack a lot of the time without even bothering to really try and target anyone specific, then press counter whenever you see one of those attack icons. Batman handles the rest. I don't like the heavy amount of context sensitivity and auto targeting. Feels somewhat like the game is playing itself.

That's actually fair since I have abused that a few times. That though just helps me feel more like a boss when I'm fighting that many at one time.
