Roughly 4 hours in. This game is amazing.

Just finished Spider-Man. It was one of those games where it was so wonderful and consuming that I just feel sad that it’s over and I’ll never get to experience it again for the first time. I haven’t had this feeling in a pretty long time. I mean sure I loved God of War recently for example but it wasn’t like this. The way this game made me feel from start to finish just can’t really be described. It’s a truly special experience that several members here NEED to get their hands on.

God damn it. Spider-Man shares the same space in my heart with Batman so just one more reason to cop a PS4.

I've never heard of a truly great Spider-Man game other than one for Playstation and honestly it felt pretty dated to play so a game with modern capabilities that gets it right is a dream come true. Is it Arkham quality?

From what I've seen it's definitely up there. I haven't actually played it for myself yet so I don't know for sure but from what I watched on Twitch, it's definitely a shining light in the Spider-Man franchise. It has been quite some time since we've had a legitimately great Spider-Man game and it's really cool to see that it wasn't only received well, but the game itself was made with a lot of care.

I don't watch games I intend to play blind on Youtube or Twitch so I won't be checking this out before the day I finally get a PS4. Why would I want to have absolutely anything about this game ruined?

I like to sort of have an idea of whether it's worth spending the cash on a game that I want to play. I've been turned off by games before simply by getting a glimpse of it. Saves me money though. I mean ffs the god damn Spider-Man game is 79.99 on PSN. I wanna be sure I'll enjoy it before I throw that cash down. I didn't know I'd be getting a PS4 for certain yet when I was watching it either. I was about 90% sure I was going to so I figured I'd just watch some of it. I'll play through it myself. It's just nice to know that I'll probably enjoy it.

This is all I need **** Twitch. Imagine if I'd watched an hour of Arkham Asylum before I bought it and how much it would have taken from the wonder of starting it simply with the knowledge that at least it was supposedly a good game. The first five minutes of walking through the asylum and seeing Killer Crock for the first time and being terrified of the prospect of ****ing with him was magical, and it would have been ruined if I was just watching someone else do it.

I loved playing Alien Isolation and Amnesia The Dark Descent but watching Let's Plays before hand definitely spoiled part of the experience. That is worth the potential of wasting a bit of money.
