Theyre both basically engines. I didnt see anything you could do there that minecraft cant do in its own way u less you're going to get nitpicky about game physics/graphics but im sure someone can mod custom physics into minecraft.
You realize people have actually facetimed in minecraft right? Its still awesome and i was mostly joking but i dont think the two are all that different if you have the know how.

Maybe you know something I don’t, but I’ve never seen anything remotely close to some of those creations in Minecraft. You might be able to make things that are visually similar but I don’t think you can straight up make a modern looking Halo-esque FPS or program your own combat systems in Minecraft. Minecraft is not a game development engine in nearly the same way

Like i said it cant conpete with the graphics but there are already gun mods and pokemon mods and all kinds of other stuff. Dream definitely looks much nicer. Curious what kind of effort is involved in making some of those things.

I’ve been digging through the tutorials and messing with little things and can confirm that the work involved is significant. But enough people have made amazing **** completely by themselves in such a short amount of time that I fully believe I’ll be able to make something cool too. I’ll likely have to use others’ graphical creations though because I am not much of a visual artist, but level design/music/dialogue I’m confident in

Modding is the future. Tons of people out there with the know how and desire to make free **** for these game companies if they are given the tools. There are def some things that i dont like about it but whatever.

My only regret is that there isn't a graphic skinning and gutting mechanic.

When I was debating between getting a Switch or a PS4 and leaning toward a PS4 one of the things that made me go for not just a PS4 but a PS4 Pro was the game Control since it introduced me to the reality that some newer games didn't run so well on base PS4's, but I never really looked that much into Control beyond taking note that it was supposedly a great game. But then it went on sale for like $20 so I got it not really knowing anything about it but now I'm playing it and... IT'S AN UNOFFICIAL ****ING SCP FOUNDATION GAME?! The SCP Foundation is like my favorite internet thing! Now I'm ****ing hype.
