my biggest gripe was the limited random missions and the size of the text. seriously if it's going to be displayed in a window with a potential scroll bar please allow users to allocate a font size, this goes for all games.

i really enjoyed building up your own fleet though (even if mine were piddly - 1 transport ship, 2-3 light fighter escorts) but my old pc would chug and crash if combat became too extensive (more than 2 opponents). haven't re-installed it on my current pc since the initial release was cd only, takes about an hour to install the 6 discs worth of stuff.

as for Titan Quest and its expansion, it's the best clickfest since Diablo2.

Yeah, I'm probably going to focus on combat, which sounds like it may be a problem early on . Been making a bit of money in trading though, so hopefully that kickstarts a career.

I also played X3. It took some time, but after a while I was making good money on my merchant fleet. I basically stopped playing due to some bug, though. I'd progressed quite far, ran into a bug which I can't exactly remember what was, but which required me to load a savegame from quite some time back and I think either I didn't have the savegames I needed or it would have me undo so much stuff I had done that I simply couldn't be bothered continuing with the game.

Consider yourself warned, Zarko Keep a lot of saves!

lemme know how that works out. i saw the gold edition for sale last week and thought of getting it. a fighter could be fun but i like the idea of sending in the goons while sitting back and calling the shots.

i made enough cash to build a factory once. never really figured out how to get it going properly though. gun running is where the money is at but finding buyers at the right time was annoyingly tricky.

Always been a fighter myself, since the grand olde days of Freelancer.

Oh I like it... it's addictive and perfect for not having to pay that much attention to. Of course the story is scarcely there and there are numerous other things preventing it from being a super amazing game, but that's not really what you play Titan Quest for. You play it for killing lots of things and picking up lots of things.

That's right. Actually, I've never played Diablo 1 or 2

I plan on getting Diablo 3 when it comes out though.

Has anyone played Bioshock 2 yet? Is it any good?

It was briefly discussed a few pages back. I've completed it and would say that if you liked Bioshock, you will like Bioshock 2. It feels more like an expansion to the first game than your average sequel. The bad thing about it is the game does not feel very fresh. Those hoping for something new might get slightly disappointed and those who just want more BioShock will probably feel satisfied. I'm somewhere in between, but it's all in all a very entertaining game.

I also wish the hint feature would come on later in the game, as it makes me feel stupid when I'm running around a room for 3 minutes and the game takes pity on me. I'm still enjoying it for the most part and will definitely buy it if I have the money and it's cheap, but I'm glad I tried it out first.
The second one is far better. The gunfights are so annoying in drakes fortune. At the end they just throw so much **** at you, from literally every direction, and every enemy can take like 20 bullets. And the jet ski parts were terrible.

But the sequel is almost perfect.
