Unfortunately I am on the 360, I do have a PS3 but it rarely gets played. I use it mostly for the Blu-Ray player.

I played the SWTOR beta and it seemed like WoW with a few Bioware elements (dialogue options, good voice acting). Unfortunately, the combat system and overall presentation are nowhere close to WoW.

Having said that, I have no interest in any MMO after wasting so much time with one of them...

Anyone here playing SWTOR? I'm really interested in it and a couple of friends have said it's good. Is it worth buying?

I'm also wondering if I have the the right computer specs for this game: 2 month old laptop with Windows 7 64-bit (SP1), 6 GB DDR3 RAM, 640 GB HDD (462 GB free space), 1.60 GHz AMD E350 E2 Vision x2 core processor, AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics card.

Yes. I just didn't want to type out the whole name. I was too lazy

I've seen that acronym used everywhere, though.

It should be able to barely run it (probably 15-20fps at lowest resolution and settings). Your CPU / GPU combo is pretty weak for gaming.

Minimum Reqs: http://www.swtor.com/info/faq#171060

How does it perform with other games?

Ok, that's what I thought. It's not a bad computer overall. As far as other games go, there hasn't been anything on it except Plants vs. Zombies, lol. I'm not a huge gamer at all. So far it's been pretty much a school computer - word processing, PowerPoint, music, and Internet.

Thanks for that link to the system requirements. For some reason I couldn't find it, guess I wasn't looking hard enough. My dad's desktop has way better specs than my Windows laptop, and he's getting a new one built so I'm going to ask him if I can have his old one.

I also have a MacBook Pro, but Macs are generally **** when it comes to gaming. I do have Windows 7 64 bit on that one too (through BootCamp), but I wouldn't consider using it for a game like this.

i've seen and heard reviews on SWTOR

doesn't really look much interesting to me - the Star Wars games that i thought are good are the X-Wing/TIE FIghter series, the Lego series and Battlefront 1 and 2
