Gran Turismo 5 is also fun for racing once you get used to how it controls. Little Big Planet 1 or 2 is another one to consider.

On the Playstation Store check out Shank, Bloodrayne Betrayal, Awesomenauts, Joe Danger, and the previously mentioned Hardcorps:Uprising and Lara Croft games
well i did get call of duty mw3 i haven't played it yet but my gf is constantly trying to get me 2 play with her but i'm going to practice by myself first lol
ok i'm checking out battlefield ..is it a first shooter game?
i seen great great great reviews of gt5 and the girl that works at gamestop kept recommending it but the only racing game i played was midnight club and i was horrible at it :/ lol..isn't little big planet a game for like little kids? i seen it on g4 tv best games of all time but i thought it was mainly for children...ok so these are games i have to download or buy? and credit card or store card?

I always go with the store card. Never have to worry about getting hacked and you have a hard limit on how much you can spend.

Battlefield is another game similar to CoD. The thing with Gran Turismo is that it's more of a simulator than a straight arcade racing game. It's not just a matter of holding the gas button and flying down the track, but it's quite rewarding once you get the hang of it. Setting up races with 'crappy' cars is also hilariously fun when your top speed is like 55-60 mph.

LBP is kind of for kids but it's still fun for anyone - especially if you try building your own levels, the editor has a lot of depth if you really want to get into it.

Can anybody reccomend me a good current gen game on consoles, that i likely haven't played?

it sounds ridiculous but i think i've played them all now. All thats left is perhaps castlevania, and a bunch of HD remakes.

Got Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it first came out in 2008, and it's still in my rotation. Sometimes I'll get bored and forget about it, but I always end up coming back to it. I've unlocked everything worth unlocking, and now I'm just playing for the sake of playing.

That's my game right now, but when I go to my mom's house (I spend about a week out of every month there), it's all Halo 3 and Skyrim. She has a 360 and PS3, which I don't have... otherwise, I'd probably be playing those most the time, rather than SSBB.

I bought Rayman Origins a while back, and played that just about every day for 2 weeks or so. Was a good change, as far as platformers, from Mario Bros., but I eventually got bored with it. Just doesn't have the replayability of the other games I own.

Platformers are pretty ageless IMO. That's why I love my Wii, it has games from every Nintendo console on it (mostly platformers).

I love platformers. My favorite genre besides RPGs. Grew up with Sonic The Hedgehog and the old Mario games. So it's nostalgia, as well as the pure joy I get when playing a good platformer.

so yeah, got all these games so far in Steam's Summer Sale (so far)

Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year
Frozen Synapse
Zeno Clash
PixelJunk Eden
Q.U.B.E.
Red Faction: Guerilla
Mount & Blade
Inside a Star Filled Sky

also, played this last night

simply BEAUTIFUL (The Caves section is probably one of the most stunning environments I've ever seen in a game ) but it's DEFINITELY not for everyone. for anyone who doesn't know, this is much more of an interactive story than a video game, as you can only walk around and in certain areas a narrator will share different fragments of a story with you.

The story is a bit slow at first but once you start putting some pieces together it gets fairly interesting. also, it's REALLY short, about 2 hours at the most. So yeah, you would need to have a really open mind if you want to play this.

it IS on sale for $2.49 on Steam today so I guess if it's something of interest to you then check it out.

I played the original mod back when it came out in 2008 and really enjoyed it, and was a little surprised when it was remade and commercially released. It really only seems to be a graphical upgrade though, and after looking at the recommended specs to play it, I'd have to lower the settings down to pretty much what they were with the mod.

well before you go and check it, I do have to warn you that it DOES NOT HAVE SETTINGS FOR GRAPHICS, so yeah.

still, it was able to run on my computer so that's something.
