The concept of them was pretty awesome and really came out of nowhere, but the actual execution was severely lacking. I can't tell you how many times I died while trying to follow that blood trail, and that crying baby noise really felt like my ear canals were being raped by a man wearing a sandpaper condom.
That blood trail with the baby crying (eventually sounding a bit inhuman at times) is one of the really spooky scenes I can remember from gaming. Following the trail was a bit annoying, but that Poltergheist-like corridor and the whole thing with your kid and wife getting killed was pretty awesome in the first Max Payne game.

In Max Payne 3, I don't think I've come across any dream sequences yet, but there's been plenty of flashbacks.

edit :

And now Max looks a bit like Zach Galiafinakis

Ooh my. What's your Steam ID? I tend to put in about 15 hours every week.

I'm back to playing some Magic the Gathering : Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013. There's a new expansion pack out with 5 decks that I need to unlock. If anyone wants to duel, let me know.

The new Pokemon for DS is supposed to be awesome. I've never really played a Pokemon game before. Are they any good?

Had to force my way through this ****ing game for 2 months. Finally beat it and got the most anticlimactic ending of any game I've played.

Still enjoyed the game, but has some crazy obvious flaws. All they need is one patch and the game would have been a lot better.

It was a little anticlimactic, but I did like how the game never shied away from bold facedly saying "You are part of the problem" to the player, and the fact that there was no way to survive (spoiler alert) hit the point home in a big way.

I'd say the problems lie more in the mechanics of the game, like the constantly respawning checkpoints where everybody drops what they're doing to chase you down and kill you... even if it's the faction you're currently working for. Also without a real antagonist I really felt like I wasn't working towards anything tangible.

I'm a fanboy so of course I'm going to say yes.
I'm still probably going to wait to get it until the price drops a little, since the game that's coming out is the obligatory rehash+ bonus material that comes out during every generation.
Gamefreak knows how to make money, I tell you what.

In other news, I think we should have an MB group on Steam.
