That said though, I've heard nothing but good things about the 970, and at $350 USD it's an absolute steal.

Parting words of wisdom for when you eventually get into the game:

1) Give each member on your team different guns, otherwise you will run out of ammo.
2) Always have a designated medic/surgeon
3) Don't make said medic/surgeon responsible for opening crates/gates because they are booby trapped and they will die.
4) Put points into toaster repair, you will get some amazing shit.
5) Shotguns are not an ideal weapon as you will more often than not hit a teammate with friendly fire. Sniper rifles are also a hard weapon to master as enemies will inevitably run up to you and throw your aim way off. Also ammo is crazy scarce for sniper rifles so you will run out.
gtx 750 TI would be roughly as powerful as my old gtx 580 from what I'm told, but to be honest .. I don't want that much power. I don't need to play everything on ultra, what I need is aPC that won't make a noise like a starting jet every time the game gets even slightly graphically intensive. I aim for something like a gtx66, supposedly quiet, performs well and is cheap.
And thanks for the tips, hopefully I'll be able to use them ratehr sooner than later

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but apparently Xbox One is being released in China. It would be around 15 years since there was a console for sale over there (maybe just Microsoft consoles?).

titanfall

it's a lot of fun. Controls tight like call of duty. Aesthetic is colorful and varied, with some great use of little camera feeds, like a robot video terminal popping up saying, "titanfall will be ready in 60 seconds" and such. Kind-off like starcraft but not as good.

Guns are rather generic and boring, except the auto target pistol. Some more original guns like that would have been nice.

The game needs a campaign and a foreal co-op mode. Very bare bones. Still whats there is great. Set up for a stellar potential sequel assuming there is still an audience.

Finished Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition this weekend. I still have no graphics card so I'm forced to play old titles .. but It's not that bad I recommend it to anyone that forgot how unforgiving the games from several years ago were compared to today. No flashing exclamation marks whenever something interesting happens, no autosaves every 30 seconds, no remorse. no forgiveness. No mercy.
Kinda like that.

... and when you're two thirds the way through the game and you realize your character is ****, no backtracking for experience.

Exactly! So you have all your team members trained in swords? Cool, meet these slashing damage resistant golems that fart poison (literally, they cast death cloud). Isn't this game fun ?

I haven't started BG2: EE yet, but it's there. Waiting for me. all 150+ hours of it.... nooo

Just started a new game of Fallout: New Vegas. Such a great game. It not have as bleak a world as Fallout 3, or as awesome an environment as the ruins of DC, but I think the whole desert world, with cowboys and whatnot, actually makes for a world where the human parts are more connected to the greater world at large, whereas with 3 everything just felt so isolated. Also, the guns are so much more awesome. I do miss Malcolm McDowell though.
