Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD

Out of the 4 Oddworld games that I got a little bit ago, this one has got to be one of my favorite games. I was excited to get Munch's Oddysee because I had played it before, but man, I wonder why I skipped over this little gem. First off, you have a choice of being in 1st or 3rd person, and the combat style can change based on which perspective you're in. I personally love 3rd person, but that's just because I have always enjoyed 3rd person in games. 1st person allows you to use your crossbow, which has some of the coolest ammo types i've ever seen. You have shock bugs, skunks that make your enemy puke, fuzzles which eats your enemies alive, and spiders that wrap your enemies up in web for you to "bounty" them. There's more ammo types but I haven't gotten to that part in the game yet. You basically play as a bounty hunter and you're going around catching bad guys and earning money as you go. The game is made by the guys who handle the Oddworld franchise so just get ready for some weird **** and silly humor to go along with the game. I don't know what the game looked like before the HD version but I can tell you right now, the HD version looks and feels amazing and smooth. I have it on it's highest setting on my PC, and there's absolutely no frame rate issue or anything like that. Probably going to spend a few hours today playing this. Happy I picked this up, because I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

No idea. I don't remember what level I was on when I beat her, but she's definitely a bitch to beat.

I got bored and decided to check a game out called Life is Strange. It's one of those Telltale type games, except this one does it a whole lot better than them IMO. Choices hold weight. I'm really loving this game more than I expected. Beautiful art, beautiful soundtrack/emphasis on music throughout (was really happy to hear Sparklehorse), and an interesting concept. The dialogue is extremely corny a lot of the time but it kinda grew on me as part of the experience. It has a couple Twin Peaks references which I liked, and there's a lot of mystery surrounding the characters which gives me that similar vibe. The atmosphere of all these different elements coming together makes for a pleasant experience overall. Definitely not for everybody, though.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

I got the free trial. Seriously considering subscribing for a month or two to see how it goes. I've been having a lot of fun so far now that I got my bearing straight. The graphics are awesome: character models, landscapes, monsters, armor.. I really enjoy it all. Very refreshing to play a more realistic looking game after playing WoW on and off for 10+ years. The quests have been very straight forward and clearly marked. Great cut scenes for the main story quest, and the attack/spell animations look nice even on my low quality pos setup. I'm only level 10 atm so I haven't had a chance to group or do any dungeons yet. Also haven't had the chance to do any crafting, but so far I'm happy with it. Oh, and as always the bgm is excellent.

The first expansion is coming out in a couple days.

Skysaga Infinite Isles

So, I registered on the website and got made part of the beta testing for this game. Skysaga is basically what would happen if you combine the elements of an MMO with the looks and gameplay style/crafting elements of Minecraft and the combat and adventure style of Cube World. With it being in early release, there are bound to be bugs and things that need fixing, but as it looks right now, I really think the developers have put a lot of time into making this something amazing right off the bat. First time playing and i've had absolutely no frame rate issues, and I have everything cranked up to ultra on 1920 x 1080 res. Input delay is a problem that I have run into so far, and from what i've seen, i'm not the only person experiencing that problem. If you guys are at all interested, you just have to register and you get a link to beta test within 24 hours depending on where you live. I'm pretty excited to see where they take this, because with the way it looks now, things can only get better. I'm hoping they incorporate multiplayer and things like that, because I would love to play with other people.

Just finished the Evil Within and despite a pretty crappy complex story the game is a pretty impressive survival horror, that pretty much scared the crap out of me at times, good locations, great atmosphere, game control and levelling up system. It's kind of like Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 combined with a Silent Hill game.

Now off to play the Walking Dead adventure game (have both) which I know are meant to be great.

I don't need luck i got gifts.

Not that i care for banging sten, he's too uptight.
Re:Flemeth, think I was at least level 10. Doesn't matter how far you are, more so how you're playing. I set my healer to hold position a safe distance with maximum anti-aggro and mana boost bonuses, used as much debilitation as I could with my mage, then let my pooch and sten smack away on the front lines. A good formula for a big boss like that is healing, boosting, and what little crippling you can do, then just keep picking away. She's got that bite attack which I'm sure you've noticed is basically one hit KO so constant healing, or boosted constitution and defense, is important.

You might also consider taking manual control of your healer to ensure nobody drops below 75. I overall always play with a formula of me as mage, a healer, and two tanks though, only bring rogues for looting chests or if I've gotten into healing. Some like a more balanced team.

Dishonored

Why the hell have I never played this before now? I have heard nothing but good things about it since its release, and I recently picked up because its on sale and because of the news about Dishonored 2. I'm really having a good time with this one and I only 3 hours into it. The stealth aspect is a lot of fun, and having the first person view really adds to the suspense in some situations. Very happy I picked this up.
