So i'm hooked on WoW again. I'm also not really the type to just play for two months after the expansion then give up on it. I have an active guild that I play with so I know I will be on it for awhile. I've even met up with this guild irl. It was super fun.
I hear it's the best expansion in a while. I haven't bought it yet, still leveling an enhance shaman.

Has anyone played XCOM yet? Thinking about getting it, seems really fun.

I've never played it but I watch a Youtuber that loves it and it looks intriguing. I've been wanting to get it myself. I'd say get it, and try it out.

Play Specs Ops: the line. I already ranted about this game before somewhere around here, but I'll say one thing: don't be put of by the generic beginning. It's a trip down madness lane and it's only going to get worse.

X com is great, especially the 2nd game - it really got what the 1st one missed right. It works and looks great and is very accessible even with a controller.

Yeah I'm maining my enhance shaman, this expansion. I picked up the doomhammer as my legendary weapon. It was a cool class quest to get it.

I've played Enemy Unknown many times. It's great, but those fucking aliens are such cheating bastards.

You should have said that 1 day ago! I just deleted the installation data and save data from my Xbox because I thought it was just a glorified light gun game. Guess it really was a generic beginning. Now I have to start all over! Arrrghh!

I haven't tried the newest one because I can't on this ****ty laptop, but I am one of those annoying persons who insist that the 1994 original is the one to play. X-Com 2012 is allright, but I gotta admit I'm really bored with it by now. So many things about it that make me grumpy. Everyone else thinks it's good so...

I think I played all the games ever released in the series. The 2012 game was good, but it wasn't great. It got rather boring rather quickly. The sequel though .. the whole strategic level changes, as you move around in your base. It's no longer just a place where you shoot down ufos and send teams, it's a place where you have to choose. Prioritize.
As for tactical level - asides from several minor updates like new equipment or whatnot, there is one huge change - virtually every mission has a time limit, and it's rarely more than 8 turns. Unless you start the scenario in cover, which means the timer will start when you are discovered, not when you enter mission area. This is a change I thought was horrible .. until I actually played the game (and completed it). Gone are the "let's all camp in overwatch and have one guy lure the aliens to us" missions, in most cases anyway. The game is challenging, it actually forces you to act and sometimes compromise tactically.
Generally X-com 2 is the game X-com wanted to be, but failed.
