To be on both sides, Fallout 3 and NV are both phenomenal experiences for what they each bring to the table.

I just wish they implemented Base Building as a feature back in Fallout New Vegas, the game would have literally been perfect.

Base building was a huge turn off for me in Fallout 4. Made the game feel less like a survival game, and more like Minecraft. The whole idea could have been scrapped as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with your outlook on Fallout 4 by the way, I feel like it was dumbed down a lot. However, with the DLC, they went back to what they do best and created an entire new game within the DLC with quests, armor, and new companions. It really felt like what Fallout 4 should have been.

Is the DLC really that good? I might give the game another shot if that's the case. How much of the main game in terms of game functionality and such did it change? Personally, I dig Minecraft, and games with a component like that due to the fact that it allows me to get more engrossed in the world because I'm actually building something in it.

It basically took what we love about the dark atmosphere of the previous titles, and put it into a new island. It **** on Fallout 4's main game by a ton. There's so much stuff to do and even though I've beat the main quest in the DLC, there's so many other things you can do. Plus, it has the option of choice where your choices actually make a difference in the world that the DLC is based on.

It's very good.

This. This is what I wanted to ****ing hear.
Fallout 4's dialogue system is basically the #1 reason I haven't revisited that game in over six months.

It's much better in the DLC since you have multiple different parts of the story line that you can choose to follow.

Spoiler for if you want to hear more:
you can choose to help the synths, help the children of atom, or help the people who have made the island their home, or a combination of those.

I'm probably gonna wait for a DLC price drop, then I'll hop on it. Have they released all the DLC yet?
I'm anxiously awaiting the Skyrim Special Edition (which I get for free on Steam! Hype!)

Never got that far, so I can't say, but if it gives me that visceral feeling of beautiful evil that I got from watching Megaton go up in a mushroom cloud from that balcony on Tenpenny Tower, or leading the ghouls to the tower and then having them wait while I personally hunt down every resident with an AK-47 like ****ing Rwanda, then I guess I'll have to pick NV back up soon.

Understandable though I'll say it's worth the price for what it is. I bought it the minute it was released and I wasn't necessarily a huge fan of Fallout 4 in general, it changed my mind.

Blowing up Megaton was the greatest thing I've ever witnessed in a Fallout game.
