I've never noticed FR issues on my PS3 w/ FO3.

i got SO angry during that first one, at one point (apparently at the start of the final area) i ended up starting the map and standing next to something that goes boom, which ends up happening while someone's message is being displayed on screen (as in - within seconds of loading the map). so while i was reading a mini-briefing of my final mission i got blown up. considering the game saves before loading a new map i figured it would just start the area over again.

it didn't.

i'm still pissed about it.

Everyone complains about the same things with Invisible War, but it really suffered from oversimplification. The scrapping of the RPG stat growth, the universal ammo and simplified inventory were all big losses as far as I'm concerned. But by far the biggest problem was how small the maps became, they felt so cramped compared to the original, and this leads to the different paths somehow feeling more artificial.

On the other hand, it kept the nice balance between exploration/dialogue/shooting, the good writing, atmosphere and convoluted conspiracy plot. And the shooting mechanics were probably slightly better. So a fun game, but not a patch on the original.

I don't remember the first one being particularly buggy. The only bug I ever found on multiple playthroughs was that Stanton Dowd wouldn't talk to me one time, and a reload fixed that. Invisible War was much more buggy for me, but I guess half the reason is that I was playing it on a computer that could barely handle the minimum requirements. I should try it again now, I might feel differently.

hard to say, i remember having to keep re-applying the patch whenever it would eventually crash but that always fixed whatever issue i was having.

as for the main complaints those are all things i quite liked. i found the smaller maps made the objectives more prominent, it helped make the story flow more smoothly to me, i didn't end up getting lost in the details and was able to forge a clear and direct path through my play through.

i should bust out the original one of these days though, should run a slight bit smoother on a quad core than my old p2-400 rig hahaha.

also what killed ended the original game for me wasn't actually a bug but just a poor scripted scene. especially where i remember thinking the situation needed to be addressed in an earlier mission but either didn't have enough multi-tools or the skills necessary to avoid it. most other players i've talked to about the game never had the exploding event in the first place. sorry if i seem vague here, don't want to spoil it.

Splinter Cell Conviction, awesome game. Better than I expected.

Really? I liked it less after the ending. Really disappointing

Me neither

But the main issue, at least when Fallout originally came out, was that every time one of those ps3 messages popped up saying "bblahblah is online" the game would freeze for like a minute.

The game continues after the ending in the Broken Steel addon.

I just started playing GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony after beating The Lost and The Damned and I must say, I'm very impressed with both stories and how they tied all the characters together throughout the missions. Also, base jumping is the shit.
