The first time I was struck with something, a chicken breast from Kenny Rogers. I was standing next to a garbage pail. I thought it might've been an accident, that they were throwing it out. The second time, it hit me square on the chin, a soft taco. Then, pop. A falafel. McNuggets. Always fast food. Fast food. **** people would rather throw out than finish. It's easy. It tastes all right, but it doesn't really provide you any nourishment. I'm fast food.

I just saw that movie and was just about to put that down as a favourite quote. I hate Nic Cage, but I gotta give him props, that movie was good.

A Fistful of Dolars (S. Leone, 1964):

- Joe (Clint Eastwood) to the carpenter, on the way to meet Baxter's men: "Get three coffins ready".

- (later on) Joe to the carpenter, on the way back: "My mistake. Four coffins..."

"We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon."

My favourites are usually comedic.

Pulp Fiction
Vincent (after accidently shooting Marvin): [calmly] "Aww man, I just shot Marvin in the face."

Fargo
Carl (after kidnapping Jerry's wife): [unconvincingly] "Keep it still back there lady, or else we're going to have to...you know... shoot you."

American Beauty
Buddy (being introduced to Lester): "It's a pleasure."
Lester: "Oh, we've met before actually - this thing last year, Christmas at the Sheraton..."
Buddy (pretending he remembers): "Oh yeah, yes!"
Lester: "It's ok. I wouldn't remember me either."

Donnie Darko
Sean: "This is some good s.hit, eh?"
Donnie: "It's a f.ucking cigarette..."

The Royal Tenenbaums
Richie (on a hospital bed): "I wrote a suicide note."
Chas: "You did?"
Richie: "Yeah, right after I regained conciousness."
Chas: "Well, what does it say? Is it dark?"
Richie: "Of course it's dark, it's a suicide note."
Chas: "Can I read it?"
Richie: "No."
Chas: "Well, could you at least summarize it for us?"

"The Theatuh, the Theatuh - what book of rules says the Theater exists only within some ugly buildings crowded into one square mile of New York City? Or London, Paris or Vienna? Listen, junior. And learn. Want to know what the Theater is? A flea circus. Also opera. Also rodeos, carnivals, ballets, Indian tribal dances, Punch and Judy, a one-man band - all Theater. Wherever there's magic and make-believe and an audience - there's Theater. Donald Duck, Ibsen, and The Lone Ranger, Sarah Bernhardt, Poodles Hanneford, Lunt and Fontanne, Betty Grable, Rex and Wild, and Eleanora Duse. You don't understand them all, you don't like them all, why should you? The Theater's for everybody - you included, but not exclusively - so don't approve or disapprove. It may not be your Theater, but it's Theater of somebody, somewhere."
-All About Eve

"Fasten your seatbelts; it's going to be a bumpy night."
-All About Eve

Mrs. Snow: I suppose it's like the ticking crocodile, isn't it? Time is chasing after all of us, isn't that right?
-Finding Neverland

"Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."
-American Beauty

"Your life is an occasion. Rise to it."
-Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

Willy Wonka: But Charlie, don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he he always wanted.
Charlie Bucket: What happened?
Willy Wonka: He lived happily ever after.
-Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Sister Aloysius: Sister James...
Sister James: What is it, Sister?
Sister Aloysius: [crying] I have doubts. I have such doubts.
-Doubt

"In the wake of huge events, after them and before them, physical details they spasm for a moment; they sort of unlock and when they come back into focus they suddenly coincide in a weird way. Street names and birthdates and middle names, all kind of superfluous things appear related to each other. It's a ripple effect. So, what does it mean? Well... it means something's going to happen. Something big. But then, something's always about to happen."
-Pontypool

never hate your enemies, it clouds your judgment. (Godfather)

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.(Pulp Fiction)

-Johnny (Al Pacino): "We’re like a lock and key."
-Frankie (Michelle Pfeiffer): "I don’t like where your key’s been."

Frankie and Johnny (Garry Marshall, 1991)

I love that movie, Pontypool. It was so weird and the whole time I was watching it I wanted to hate it but I just couldn't.
