Hey Jansz! Made it through the hurricane, I'm glad to see. I'm trying to establish that we're all ok via the HS thread but no replies yet. Do you know if any of the other guys had any problems or did everyone make it through (fingers crossed)?

Season 1 is pretty great, season 2 gets better and so far I have yet to watch any of season 3. It's different to your average gangster series, and Steve Buscemi in the main role is a revelation. Well worth checking out imo.

Well, I'm dead. Yep. My bloated corpse is now floating somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

P.S. Apparently, ghosts totally exist.

Sorry to see you go Batlord. But you know, evil never dies, so I'll just wait to see your new avatar with "Evil v 3.0" and I'll know you're back! BWA HA HA!

Nah, "Evil v. 3.0" will be my son. Who I will have to dispose of to prevent him usurping my position.

Still making my way through Game of Thrones, I've heard good things about Broadwalk Empire. I will happily recommend Arrested Development to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Over the past month I've been watching Breaking Bad, from the first episode of season 1 to the mid-finale of season 5. It may well be the greatest thing I've ever seen. If anyone's considering watching it, take my word for it and watch it now.

I've been watching episodes of The Venture Bros. out of order just to see if I can catch any continuity errors, but besides one joke about one of the Venture Bros. being circumcised while the other isn't, I can't find any. This show has done a magnificent job at world building, which is pretty impressive considering they almost never know if they'll be renewed for another season, which is why there's usually a 2-3 year wait between seasons. Definitely one of the more underrated animated shows out there.

Wouldn't have said it better myself. Kudos.

I've started watching Deadwood... and must say, along with Band of Brothers it's the best tv series I've seen. I'm about halfway through and so far it's only getting better. Most of the characters are authentic, the Gem saloon in deadwood was a real place etc - so don't spoil the series for yourself like I did by reading wiki biographies of Bullock or Calamity Jane.
Also, Ian McShane has created I believe the best "bad guy" I've seen on tv.
If you don't mind the setting, Deadwood is a very well made, fast paced story about a town full of degenerates and bastards and its transformation to a more civilized place. Throw in a bunch of very memorable characters and a ton of plot twists and it's no wonder the show gets 9/10 on IMDB.

Plus since all episodes are already out, you can watch them till you puke.

I really enjoyed Deadwood too, but it's nowhere near as good the second time around.
