I'll let eg use his mouth to say his words before I accuse you of strawmanning.

But yes they still need to be imprisoned and possibly even beheaded. This applies to any scientist committing fraud.

I don't see anything about carbon tax in there. I'll wait on eg to clarify his stance on that.

I've yet to catch up with new 24:Legacy, but is this right? 12 episodes and they just announced the finale? Isn't the whole point of the show that it runs over 24 episodes?

I guess now with the internet they can make the case for torture in half the time. Impressive!

Well they sometimes did a 12 hour time jump for the last episode and they are continuing this tradition.

No they didn't. Every other season runs for 24 episodes, ending at the time it began, 24 hours later. They're not doing this it would seem this time, which means it shouldn't really be called 24 but 12. Are they that stuck for plot ideas that they could only make 12 hours' worth of it?

Didn't they do that with the last season before the lead change. Also 12 episodes are better. They don't want to risk ratings decline dragging it out for 24 episodes like they used to. It can still be called 24 if they are going through 24 hours of the day. Time jumps count!

Just wrapped up 13 Reasons Why...what an intense show. There's been a lot of backlash with people upset that it glorifies suicide. That just tells me people don't think too hard about what they are watching. It in no way glorifies suicide - in fact, I felt it took great pains to remain neutral about the topic, letting you form your own opinions about the situation. Every single character (even the really bad one) had aspects to their personalities that you could love or hate. I think the problem is that the show is incredibly realistic (both in how it characterizes high schoolers and how realistic the various traumas that happen to the characters are portrayed) and people just can't handle that. I would say this is the Netflix Original equivalent of Requiem For a Dream - watch it once, walk away incredibly depressed, never watch it again.
