Certain films will 'click' with a certain time period and be seen as great films. The true test is if it can transcend these frivolities and have enough good lines and a plotline that can be ascribed to any time period for it to become a great film. The films that pertain to my childhood such as 'Gregory's Girl' probably wouldn't mean anything to you even though I would love for you to love them too.
