Ah yes, Smash TV is one of the best arcade games ever, and certainly one of the hardest.
BIG MONEY, BIG PRIZES, I LOOOOOOOVE IT! Seriously, talk about a game that should have a sequel but unfortunately never will. Some of the best Genesis games sadly came out when people were too hyped over the upcoming PS1 and N64 to really pay them any attention. Ristar was one of them. C'mon Urban, we all had that awkward stage in life. Last edited by boo boo; 09-15-2009 at 06:44 PM. |

you won 478354 VCRs!!!!
hahaha as for lara croft and kids wanting to wank to her 3d image back in the day. i don't remember it. yes there was a bunch of hoopla about her chest, but any warez site that had tomb raider for download also had virtual valerie for those pathetic and desperate enough to want the 'interaction' of a video game character instead of net porn. |

yeah Samus could kick all the female heroes butts at the same time.
tomb raider was a great franchise back in the day. nothing really compared. too bad they almost ran it into the ground with horrible sequels early on. the first 3d Prince of Persia game blew the crap out of any tomb raider action i'd ever had up to that point. |

I consider myself a nostalgic gamer though I've more experience with old computers than consoles from my childhood. There was the spectrum, my Commodore 64, Amstrad and eventually AMIGA 500 which were awesome. Of course there was Nintendo as well and I was ecstatic when I first got a super nes.
Anyways, many of those games are still fun and even though I've no longer got my old hardware, I've got loads of emulating software to help me reenjoy those old titles. Still - I have to say - if you go back far enough in the history of gaming, it doesn't take long before there's 100 bad games for every good one. Not everything was better before so nostalgia can be overrated too. I remember especially Commodore 64 had so many crap titles. Bruce Lee kicked serious ass, though. It's one of those old platform games that I still find entertaining to this day.

Anyone remember Moonwalker for the Genesis?
Sure, in terms of gameplay is wasn't that good of a game. But c'mon, Michael Jackson kicking fairy dust into people's faces, taking out whole gangs with the power of dance and turning into a giant laser shooting robot? All while grooving to Beat It? Yeah, that was freaking awesome. |
