(DISREGARD THIS. I wasn't in the best mood when I originally typed this post, and I actually feel really embarrassed about it now. :/ I'm leaving the quote up as a reference for a future post, though)

I mean I was basing the pick on the sheer quality of the game, rather than its influence and innovation and what have you. And I think based on that it's at least a contender; it was very critically acclaimed.

That being said, KH1 is still a good game and it brings a lot of great things to the table.

Kh2 definitely had a better combat system and cooler worlds but the first one had a better story imo. I wouldnt consider either of them the GOAT though. Also, I hated that gummy ship bull **** haha

This one is easy, haha. My favourite game ever is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Zelda is the best series as well. At the time Ocarina & A Link to the Past opened up a magical world for me, rife with adventure, mysteries and discoveries, and is of vital importance to most anything I later searched for in various forms of entertainment. And a great asset to my imagination and creativity as well. I also enjoyed Wind Waker a lot, and Twilight Princess was simply awesome, like a OoT remix in some ways. Majora's Mask was entertaining, but it was the Gamecube version I tried out, and it proved to be too buggy to ever finish, sadly.
![]() As for all the handheld versions, none really swept my off my feet. Some of them were enjoyable, but nothing compared to what could be experienced on console. |

My all time favorite game and I would say the best game of all time would be Chrono Trigger because it really brought the genre to new heights and introduced so many mechanics and things that were previously unheard of.
Also Super Mario World should be considered one of the best games of all time since it still so fresh and amazingly fun to this day.

I've had more fun playing super smash brothers with my friends than any other game ever. The best times have actually come after high school too. Is it the best? Probably not. It's my favorite though.

Well story is a subjective matter, and I actually might even agree that KH1 had a better story (the Organization 13 stuff feels a bit contrived at times). The objective things, like graphics, camera, battle mechanics, features, worlds, customization options, etc are all heavily in favor of KH2, which is of no fault to KH1, they just had several years to polish the really rough parts of KH1.
But yeah, I wouldn't nominate either of these games for GOAT anyway. A game needs to be a flawless experience, where every single aspect is just mind-blowing. Gameplay, music, and graphics all have to come together in an effortless amalgamation of beauty. And that's why my nomination for greatest game of all-time is now, always has been, and always will be: ![]()
