I know I'm gonna get some flak for this, but I think there needs to be two separate categories for 'best game ever' games in 3-D, and games not in 3-D.

Like how do we compare the graphics, controls, etc. of these games:

Contra
The Best Game Of All Time-contra2.jpg

Super Castlevania IV
The Best Game Of All Time-super-castlevania-4.jpg

Versus this:

Shadow of the Colossus

The Best Game Of All Time-top-50-game-worlds_shadow-colossus.jpg

Kind of a big difference in graphics right?

By the way, I think all of these games are A+ grade, and I love all of them.

For handheld, the Dragon Warrior series is the best of all time.

Lol. That reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour's god-awful translations. Here's some of them:
  • Joey: "Woah. You've getting better and better."

  • Roland: "Information on various Duerist is input to the Duel Base by the technology of KaibaCorp."

  • Seto Kaiba: "Next, when meeting, I win."

  • Yami Yugi: "He seemed to be obviously painful."

  • Yami Yugi: "The victory ceremony starts slowly. Let’s return!"

  • You: "I will not go out because slowness today."

  • You: "Let's already return."

I think don't so.

Saying what you think is the best game ever is your own personal opinion and if you are the type to rate a game better than an other game over graphics then so be it.

I prefer not to do that. Gameplay is definitely my first concern.

If you feel the need to make two separate criteria then go ahead but I don't feel like it's needed.

The Elder Scrolls series will always be my favourite, despite their infamous glitches.
