lol not every Sith needs to be an imposing monstrosity that never shows weakness, Kylo wasn't handled perfectly but I appreciated that he was an example of a Sith who has clearly not reached full power and still has pulls to the "light" side unlike other Siths who were pure evil and that's it

Uhh Kylo is not a Sith lord. Snoke isn't either until we can confirm if he is Darth Plageuis. It makes sense why he got beat to crap because of how torn he is between the light and the dark sides. I think in 8 he will not be as much of a push over.

My overall thought on the movie...

It was really good. Just not great. They sidelined a ton of characters I was really excited to see explored (Captain Phasma and Poe Damaran) But what they created was the setup to something bigger. Starkiller Base didn't feel as sinister as the Deathstar. It was defeated pretty easily. I did feel the emotion though with the encounter between Han and Ren. That was a little heart wrenching,

you didn't find the similarities to New Hope to be really unimaginative?

There is so much star wars literature and fan stories about this continuum that they could've picked something awesome.

Like, I watch the cut scene montage for Knights of the Old Republic on youtube and that 15-20 minute snippet is better than this farce of a film. Not to mock your tastes but that's sincerely how I feel about it.

There are so many inspired artists who are fans of this film. The Force Unleashed storyline was amazing!!!! Starkiller was a beast!!!

So I'm confused by the lack of innovation with this...maybe Lucas took all the magic with him. I just need to accept that it was what it was but I was hoping for so much more.

Hip Hop I think you need to learn a bit more about what the EU is before making statements like those.

I don't care how ridiculous this sounds but I rate Star Wars in order of their release IV > V > VI > I > II > III > VII.

Spoiler for characters and plot:

I am undiced whether or not this bothers me yet, but it rehashes everything from the old movies. Instead of Leia to be found it is Luke. Instead Luke living on a desert planet, separated from his parents for his own protection, saving a droid being scrapped which so happens has an important hologram it's Rey. But unlike Luke who had old Ben and later Yoda to help him to realize and use the force, Rey learns intuitively to use the force.

Luke means "Light" and Rey (even though it's a derivative of rex meaning King) I guess it is used in this instance to allude to light as in a ray of sunlight?

BB 8 had the shape of V.I.N.CENT, a personality very close to WALL·E, and outward appearance of a typical astromech droid from the Star Wars universe, a version of the R2 D2 unit with Dyson ball technology. :/

V.I.N.CENT was the robot in The Black Hole, it's name was short for "Vital Information Necessary CENTralized," the production company was Walt Disney Pictures. WALL·E was Walt Disney Pictures/Pixar movie. I didn't mentioned the Disney connection as a criticism, just an observation.

There so much more, I don't have time to get into, maybe later.
