I just updated my previous post before I reloaded this page. Graphic indeed! One of the pictures reminded me of a Cannibal Corpse album cover.

Let's have an FF7 series split into 3 seasons like the game was split into 3 discs.
I might get lynched for this, but I never thought the FF games had all that great storylines. Suikoden 1 and 2 are two JRPG's I'd much rather see turned into a TV series. Maybe I'm remembering them a little too charitably, but I think they had more grounded stories than FF7, which I also played around that time.

Maybe. I know like squat about the Suikoden series. I was always more into action RPG's, even though I love FF.

Blue Dragon had an anime series, but it was a completely different story that just didn't work as well.

Actually, yes a Mario movie could be good. Because modrn Mario games have good plots, a lot of great laughs, and lovable characters. The writers have more than enough capability to write a good movie or series. So far, this is the best we got.

I can't really play most JRPG's either. The only one's I really like going back to are Shadowhearts 2 and 3.

Mid 90's games like Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore and Dungeon Master 2 are more my cup of tea. Plus the Realms of Arkania games, but they were turn based strategy combat.

I played Blue Dragon some years back. Charming characters, but the repetitive gameplay melted my brain until I just had to quit.

I've been playing a bit of Suikoden 2 recently, and I played and loved 4 and 5 years ago. I love the basic setup of the series so ****ing much.

War, friendship, betrayal... pretty simple but good stuff to base a memorable story around. Luca Blight was such an evil bastard!

Having your own castle and then travelling around to find all 108 companions was great. So many options for customizing your team! If I was making a JRPG, I'd rip that off in a heartbeat. Everyone playing those games had their own favorite team.

I would have loved to have more tactical battles. Suikoden Tactics was sadly kind of poo.

Oh and one more thing. I didn't shed any tears for Aeris in FF7, but
Spoiler for (character name):
Nanami
kicking the bucket in Suikoden II ruined my day.

The epic tale of The Neverhood would be an incredible claymation film.

That or a Skullmonkeys movie. I'd watch either.

I'd love to see a Red Dead Redemption tv series, done in the Coen brothers True Grit style. 3 seasons, with the 3rd switching genres mid season completely and introducing zombies, just like RDR did in a dlc.

Also I would love a Monkey Island tv series, though it would be extremely difficult to make as it needs to be hilarious.

So much to address in this thread. Here we go!

No, just no. It's not the same thing as GTA. I would love a GTA series where it would be like True Detective as far as like each season would be a different main character and set up for each season.

Burn Notice was pretty awesome until the last few seasons and even then I still loved that show.

Except for the main character being a secret agent instead of a gangster it's surprisingly similar to the plots of most GTA games.
No, not the same at all. Burn Notice was more like a modern MacGuyver.

Agreed.

It actually helps that Mario doesn't have a real plot. It gives you free creative reign to give Mario the plot that you want just as long as you keep the characters in tact instead of whatever the fuck they did with that movie.

Yes I would definitely watch RDR as a tv series on say like AMC or HBO.

Conker's Bad Fur Day would be awesome. If they made it like a TV series, they could do it like GroundHog Day where his day constantly repeats with more ridiculous shit happening each day/episode.
