Bro, I literally was just playing the computer, not having much experience with the computer in skirmish games, and I thought I was doing alright, but then one second I was cool and the next the hydralisks were just ripping my **** apart and I realized that I wasn't even good enough to beat the computer. This is gonna be mutual survival.

Bitch if you could actually take an expansion or two then maybe. And my mutalisks carried your ass in one of those two games we actually won against the computer. But omg holding Zerg off with marines so that I could build a siege tank army of death was immense... even if my vultures performed less than adequately.

I'm terrible at scouting. I don't know what I'm looking for as far as actual intelligence gathering goes besides just finding the enemy, and yeah consistently remembering to build **** while away from your base is basically the hardest thing about the game.

That's what hotkeys are for though. You can't hope to be any good at the game if you're not using your left hand constantly (assuming you're right handed). Put your Command Center in its own control group, likewise with your Barracks, Factory, Starport, and Engineering Bay. Also you need to learn the keyboard commands to build any unit so that you don't have to actually waste time clicking with your mouse.

How you do all that once you have multiple structures of the same type (f.ex. 4 Barracks, 2 Factories, 3 Command Centers, etc) is likewise a ****ing bitch since you can't put more than 1 building in a control group, but there's still a way to do it. To give you an idea of just how hard all this keyboard **** is you need to see the Koreans move their hands...

Yeah I've been watching too many SC1 vids for people who actually know how to play the game and can get away with not building **** at first. Clearly neither of us are there. And yes 9 barracks is bad.

Nice. Some SC? I'm gonna ditch the sad attempt at high level play that just isn't working and we'll just desperately try to hold off the enemy with bunkers, siege tanks, and sunken colonies (the Zerg equivalent to bunkers). Then you'll hit them with vultures/spider mines to kill off their workers and bleed them dry of resources while I do the same with mutalisks. We can't lose until we do.

Basically yes. At higher levels of play not so much, since Terran vs. Zerg is more about early and mid game aggression with marine/medic, then marine/medic supported by science vessels, while Zerg does a holding action with zerglings, then mutalisks, then lurkers, and then Zerg gets defilers which finally allows them to be truly aggressive (Zerg is a long-game race who is mostly effective once they can unlock their higher-tier units, at which point they can overwhelm the enemy with masses of sick ****).

Terran vs. Terran is all about basically long-term trench warfare with siege tanks supported by vultures for both sides until one side can make a decisive push that the other can't recover from. Don't know much about Terran vs. Protoss tbh.

But we're very much not there yet, so you're right so long as we're fighting the computer and not actual people, who will know all of this **** already and **** on us until we flee back to fighting the computer with our tails between our legs.
