Hey folks. I'll try to keep this journal music related.
A few important things: 1. Music often influences my mood more than I can. 2. I am "bipolar". 3. I went to one year of college last year, and couldn't find out what I wanted to "do". Therefore I am here. I'm not really sure where here is, but I am here. Anyways, either I will use this music journal way too much, or way too little. My fiance and I are fighting about nothing again, so I am listening to Guster. Their newer albums help me calm down and relax, and realize how trivial, frivolous, ridiculous most things are. I took about a 100 mile drive today. I often do that when I am upset. A few things have been upsetting me recently, and it felt good to just get away.
I live below Buffalo, New York. The scenery at this time of year is very somber and desolate. I actually found the absence of leaves, and chilly air quite calming. I popped in my Creedence Clearwater Revival cd, and just drove around back roads of the Seneca Nation. It really calmed me. CCR- Lookin' Out my Back Door Take it easy, Caleb |

Yeah, you pretty much nailed what I am doing schizotypic. Lol also I took the journal part literally. Oh and I guess being bipolar is manageable :P. If by that you mean my mood swings are so uncalled for that it costs me friendships, you got it hehe. Today I have been writing music all day, and am failing at writing happy songs! My fiance really wants me to write a happy song, because, well, most of my songs are about death. I am not a dogmatic person. I just over prepare :P. All kidding aside, I think all artists should write about what is most important to them. We should write more about real things. Not who stole your car, or how much you like maple syrup. As you see the happy song isn't coming out today lol. Yes Guster is awesome. I love them, not just because they make great music and have amazing harmonies, but because they are so HUMBLE. Most other artists I listen to forget, or already have forgotten what making music was about. Its about love, passion, and those goosebumps you have when you have a revelation. Not about a pay check. Hey!
Anyways, I have been in a great limbo in life of what I want. What I need. What I crave. I have found a resolution! Let others tell me what I want! Just kidding. I am a huge fan of theories. Any kind of theory. Whether it be from theoretical physics, or theoretical music! I don't know what it is about it, but it makes me go wild and crave more knowledge. Oh there I even used the word crave. Now this leaves me with one dilemma. I must readmit to my college. Or go to a community college. I am best at English, and I know this, but regardless I keep writing run-on sentences lol its so much fun. Science is my worst subject, it always has been. I get discouraged at the changing facts, and fatal flaws I see in it. Not as discouraged I am with religion. I had to throw in some controversy  Seriously though- If anyone has any advice for me, and I know that most people on this spinning rock have felt as ambivalent as I have, then don't be afraid to take hold of your keyboard and finger away. What I want: To be happier than Hugh Hefner on his birthday. What I need: Friends, Love, Enough money to be comfortable, and MUSIC What I crave: Power. Not scary power, just power over my own life and a few million people. Just kidding. I do crave power, and I won't lie about it. Call it a flaw, I'll call it drive. Take it easy, Caleb |

Today I am in a bubbly mood. Often I invent ridiculous things when I am bored. If you are feeling a little ridiculous, or a little softer than usual, I suggest you listen to Brett Dennen.
Brett Dennen - When you Feel it I've had his "So Much More" album on for an hour, and have just been drawing away. Whether I am drawing anything important or frivolous I know not.
