this seems to be a huge departure from anything that they've done before in terms of songwriting. it's much more about groove and texture rather than having songs that wind all over the place, if that makes any sense. meanwhile, it all sounds so very "radiohead".

there also seems to be no time wasted whatsoever. extremely tight, like they didn't want one more second on anything than was needed.

I'm loving it.

Average. And I'm being generous.
It's better than In Rainbows to my opinion, but I just don't like their new (mainly electronic) style. I loved the trumpets on amnesiac, I loved the shredding guitars on OK Computer... It all has become a bit overproduced. Lacks the feeling of the earlier records. It feels 'digital'. Almost sounds like they intentionally want to make it sound 'weird' just to be interesting.

Pity.

Just finished listening to it. I thought it was pretty good, but didn't completely love it. Lotus Flower and Bloom were great though.

In Rainbows was a masterpiece? So I am confused at how you say this album is average yet better than In Rainbows :O

Well I just didn't like In Rainbows.
I just don't like Radiohead's new (more electronic) style I guess.

This album is sorta poo. Actually, it's smelly steaming horse excrement. The worst 6 quid I've ever spent, bar none.

I suppose it's meant to be taken seriously?
