I do take all music seriously. Perhaps too seriously.
I can't really stand music that's just for dancing or entertainment and hasn't got much to do with musicality. Bad, eh?
(I'm not saying this about the Radiohead album )

100% undecided on this one. Needs more listens.

I liked it. Maybe I'd find it "Brilliant" after a few listens. But for now it's definitely a good album.

To me this album feels like they're treading similiar ground to the Kid A/Amnesiac era. Yet there is something in there that distinguishes it from these releases, a more plaintive mood perhaps. So far, so good. It didnt surprise me like their previous efforts did, but that isnt necessarily a criticism. Will have to give it more listens to really have a view though.

And I totally agree with the belief that this is only part I, it just feels incomplete.

Definitely better on the second half, especially on the last three tracks. Not to say that I completely dislike the first half; "Morning Mr. Magpie" was the track that originally drew me in, but I quickly found better tunes along the way.

It's good and all, and I'm glad it's not being treated as a Godly-all-knowing-BEST OF 2011/THE DECADE SO FAR album by too many people, because it really doesn't sound it was intended to act that way. Sounds more like music by a group that has found a temporary niche and is doing a good job of hanging around there. Really influenced, interesting and (for the most part) uncompromising. Like the theory holds, it could just be half of the whole picture, so there may be more to understand about them in this frame of mind soon enough.

As far as Radiohead albums go, I slightly agree with this. But compared to a lot of other stuff, I think it's a pretty good album. And while i feel like this right now, i think the album will grow on me (as did Hail To The Thief (my favorite of theirs) and Kid A).

I'm a big fan based off first impressions. It reminds me a lot of Kid A, which is easily my favorite Radiohead album. Not usually a fan of jumping onboard with random internet rumors, but I could totally buy into this being the first album of a two part series.
