It's really not a "cool" opinion to have around snobby music nazi's, but I really like Adele's last album. I haven't listened to her first, I just remember a single or two from it, but I like her second album.

I think she has a great voice. She may not be a perfect lyricist but I think some of the lyrics on the record seem really rather personal and mature. She clearly takes influence from alot of older music rather than focus exclusively on modern, mainstream pop music and write to be played on the radio and make money. It's basically just a lot better than I thought it would be.

I'm just a little disheartened with the poll on this thread. I like Winehouse, but I can't stand Kate bloody Nash and Lily bloody Allen.

Her second album was on permanent rotation in my car for a while. I prefer it over her first album, but the first does have some great stuff on it. Her cover of "Make You Feel My Love" in one of the best I've ever heard.

I can't look at her without thinking "horrible, spoiled, irritating, chav moron".

I've never seen an interview with her where she didn't irritate me or come across as a bitch. And while I'm no expert when it comes to her music, I wont claim to be, everything I've heard does nothing for me. I don't enjoy her voice, even a little bit, and there was nothing else about it to save it.

Well, can say I've never listened to others on "what's cool" to like.

I like her. I think she has a great voice, she's still young ~ she's writing her own music, isn't conforming to the other pop singers out there who are vacuous and mind numbingly boring.

I do like 19, more than 21 ~ however they're both good albums.

Well thank goodness, I've never seen any of her interviews and only listened to her music but I like it. It's usually quirky, upbeat, catchy and fun. There was a Common song where she sung the hook on it and I just loved everything about that song. I was a bit annoyed by her song "Smile" only because of how much it got over played but it was still good to me though.

I'm no Lily Allen expert myself either. I haven't listened to an album of hers in the full but majority of the singles that I heard were decent.
