Thats what Im saying. Its sad that even an artist like Adele who exactly puts out descent music, isnt concern about her image and is exactly talented STILL get bashed

Nobody is insisting she is the best singer in the world or more talented than other legends.

But she is in fact better than most of the other pop singers that are shoved down our throats ex. Beyonce, Rihanna, Nikki, Ciara etc.

I think Adele is really pretty, I dont get the hate on her looks. Yea shes overweight but just because shes overweight doesnt mean she is ugly. Its almost like you cant win

Such a ignorant society we live in but then these are the same folks that complain about how bad music is when primarily its focused on image, you mentality on this woman is no better

Rihanna and Katy Perry's songs are more musically interesting than Adele's - they're more varied.

And, no, Adele isn't ugly, just fat. But she's so heavy for her age it's almost the equivalent of not bathing, inexcusable. Whatever happened to female singers who are in reasonably good shape and yet not slutty about it? For example, Gloria Estefan 15-25 years ago. I don't expect any more than that from Adele and her peers. By the way, I can't think of any young male pop singers who look as unhealthy as Adele - nobody is going to celebrate a guy for being fat, his career would be DOA.

Really, why is weight such an integral part of music? Focus on the real stuff, not artist's personal lives. And give Adele time to vary her lyrics- it happens as singers get older.

I listen to most music as part of music videos. If I thought Adele's music were great, I probably wouldn't care what she looks like, but since it's mediocre, her size is one more reason for me to change the channel. The sight is unpleasant.

Anyway, I'm not expecting any musician to look like that, and many of them are bad role models in a way. But Adele, through her success and stated disregard for health, is an influence by giving the message that weight doesn't matter, i.e., "Why do I need to lose weight? Adele's doing fine." No, eventually, she won't be, re health, and many obese people are held back in life due to their weight. If only she'd wise up like Jennifer Hudson did. Heck, to Kelly Clarkson's usual size would be fine. At least Miss Independent isn't praised for being chunky and made out to be a musical supertalent when she isn't. Adele probably doesn't even have as much raw talent as Jessie J.

If I hear Someone like You again i'll start going insane, apart from that Adele is really talented, just overplayed here in NZ.. ffs she has more BETTER songs than Someone like you.

Kelly Clarkson has a nice arse, and so does Jessie J.

Maybe Adele does too, but her problem is she dosn't want to get funky in any of her music, its all just love ballads.

how do you know this? her next album might be different. So far she has written about things affecting her life at certain ages during her life that's the reason why she titles them 19 and 21.

So many break-up related songs in 21 is because of a breakup that she went through around the time she was writing. It's inevitable that type of material will be written into your work when you are going through that situation.
