He likes everything from pearl jam to soundgarden to Nirvana. Such huge fields of diversity between those bands

The Beatles though I love the Beach Boys too. If you compare their early albums the BB had more filler material than the Beatles. You could count on nearly every Beatle album track as being stellar.
