The Inner Mounting Flame is what drove me to enjoy jazz fusion in the first place, and I personally feel it tops everything anyone else has done within the genre.
Have you heard Between Nothingness and Eternity? I didn't realise it was live until halfway through.

I vote for UK. No seriously, KC. Least deserving...Queen. At best, they were a hard rock band with prog. tendencies.

Wow no mention of a prog rock gem ELOY. God their music is amazing. I had to register on these forums just so a few people can discover this 70s prog rock band that somehow always ends up under the radar. Please tell me someone in here has heard of eloy?...if not youtube them right now

^I know Eloy!

Don't be too disheartened by that list. There's lots of bands that could be on that list that are not.

Yeah ELOY are fanastic, but I stuck with just the more well known bands, ELOY aren't too way known, they're not super obscure or anything but, heh, I couldn't include everyone.

Should have added other though.
