OK, thanks, I am really curious :)

I have one spanish friend who started with PT with this album (The Incident)... I said her it wasn't good start and I recommended some other albums. Yesterday she listened Deadwing and said "You are right, this album would be better start." She loves Lazarus and Arriving somewhere so probably she will try more albums.
So she confirmed my feeling that The Incident needs more time because in my opinion it's the less catchy album. And she knows and loves complicated music. But when you start with some band, it needs something easier.

Yes, I recommended to her 4 albums, of course Lightbulb sun, it's between my favourites too.

Id say start from the beginning of the discography. You can really see Wilson progress as a songwriter and artist.

Sure, the progress is very interesting.
But I have a feeling some beginners could be afraid after listening to "On the Sunday of life" :D I would say if they like Deadwing and Stupid Dream, than it's time to listen to all discography. It's very important what you listen to like a first album. Really. It can get you into band or it can annoy you.

Yeah, Trains... Loved song for lot of people. Not for me. I think it's great but they have better for me.
