Crust and Anarcho
 

How many of you like this type of punk. Bands would be Aus Rotten, Flux of Pink Indians, Crass, Antischism, and Discharge.

I like Aus Rotten...for the obvious reasons....lol! and they are great too!
and Antishism is cool, but not my cup a tea

Aus Rotten=wicked
Flux=One fo my favorite bands ever
Crass= Incredible band slightly over reated but still awsome
Discharge=I like the alot but the EXTREMELY over rated, Im sick of lots of this dis core stuff, although I do like many bands that play with a d-beat.
Antishicm=wicked

Crass is good, Nausea is my favorite crust band though.

Antischism is just as good, if not better.

sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but anarcho, and crust are two different styles of music, i mean sure, they pretty much are synonymous with each other, but anarcho is a lot less about the agressiveness of the music, and more serious about the message, crust is more emphasized on the aggressive side, and shock value. but for the record i heart both genres, and heart all of thos ebands mentioned.

yea the initial post kindof implied that it was a duel-genre, plus you were comparing bands like crass with discharge.

I think the guy who made this thread was basically trying to say he/she listens to crust and anarcho, and decided to list some bands he/she likes. As far as I can tell, I dont think anyone was comparing Crass and Discharge, although that is kinda funny.

i wasnt gonna mention anything about it, i thought we all pretty much got it first time around.

i really dont think everyone who views this forum would know, ppl into pop punk tend not to be into anarcho etc, to be honest i hadnt heard the term "crust" before, but i cant help that, the only "punks" i know are online, the rest seem to be obsessed by image....thats another matter....but whats with the snappy "hate to burst your bubble" remark....why are "punks" like this?

appologies if i misinterpreted your comment, sounded bitchy to me, but its hard to tell with text....you should be trying to educate people not bring them down, how will there ever be a revolution when "no ones cool enough" to be part of the scene....(what scene?)

He wasnt really bashing that guy from what i got from the comment. I think he was just telling the guy most ppl that were posting on this thread knew the difference between crust and anarcho. He was tellign the kid by saying cust/anarcho he was implying two different types of music. My opinion it wasnt a mean comment at all the kid had it coming.

Who listens to it? bands like Axiom, Anti-Product, Tragedy, Severed Head Of State, Tular?

im kinda partial to filth and blatz bands like that. are squwat-core and crust the same thing?

One of my ex's plays the drums in a hardcore punk band. He wicked good at the drums, probably the best i've ever met. And the rest of the guys in his band are pretty good, as well.

I found though when they combine, or any hardcore punk band combines the resultant should be better considering the actual talent. I mean I liked black flag, misfits, minor threat.

I don't know what i'm saying, I need a nap. I'll come back and edit/delete this later.

Per the Punk Education thread... I have to say I like Hardcore, only because I am a fan of Black Flag. I've always been a Rollins fan!

not all of it sounds the same stereotipical bands all sound the same with any kind of band think about tha before you say all bands with a certain type of music sound the same

I don't know man... That Hip Hop stuff is all pretty similar! LOL
