Default Recomend me

I just got into this Punk band from the 70s called DEATH and im really diggen em. Does anybody have any bands in mind that have a similar style? Im not that big of a punk fan but this stuff is too cool.

I'd probably check out their Motor City contemporaries Iggy & The Stooges and MC5.

I'd like some more Garage Rock/Proto Punk like The Sonics.
Their music sounds so happy ^.^. I know they're both cover albums though.

There are loads of really awesome VA compilations about Garage Rock and Proto Punk. I'd recommend the 'Back From The Grave' series.
