Lyrically, Tupac pretty much dominates this to be honest. On the other hand, Biggie has one of the sickest flows that I've ever experienced in a simple track ; consecutively, with every track, not just one.

I greatly respect both, and can't imagine a day without listening to either one of their tracks - but in the latter end, my ultimate vote has to go to Tupac.

Personally, I just think that Tupac has more emotion and depth in his tracks as opposed to Biggie.

Neither of them are "hardcore" in any sense... Biggie went to private school, 2pac studied ballet and was an actor (Shakespeare plays). That said, I couldn't care less and think 2pac is better.

dropped out of that school at 12 and went state-funded. was a crack cocaine dealer and was also done on weapons charges. dont know if that qualifies as "hard core" for you, but it certainly gives him criminal credentials.

2pac was a pusssy, yeah. but he did go to jail on sxual assault charges and spent time in the cage, in addition to surviving a robbery where he got shot many times... which probably does make him "hard core".

if "hardcore" means being a criminal, then they were both pretty hardcore, mate.

That what ive always said.

Biggie had 1 of the illest flows but content wise his tracks couldnt really stand up to Tupac's.

that only makes 2pac...a good poet. the question is who was the better rapper, not who was the deepest or the most meaningful.

rap in the end is about flow, rhymes and delivery. it's obvious which of the two was the more skillful rapper. nobody in their right mind would ever dare to claim that 2pac can match up to biggie in terms of mc dexterity. hell, 2pac himself wouldn't say so.

biggie has one of the most unbelievable flows ever. he is certainly the most influential rapper in the modern hip-hop era. everybody from wu tang to clipse to eminem has been inspired by biggie's flow and have modeled their own styles upon his.

so is this thread a question of who's the better rapper, or what?
