Sonace: Please, I divorced that little skank.

FaSho 06-03-2009 01:52 PM

I think that's the closest I've ever seen to Trauma being angry. Anyway, I find the choice very simple, as someone stated before tupac has like 150 songs. The thing is none of them are as good as Everyday Struggle or Notorius Thugs or Juicy or Things Done Changed.

Flower Child 06-03-2009 02:12 PM

Okay all you Biggie fans, I have plenty of 2Pac but I do not a have any of Biggies music. Tell me what his 3 best songs are so I can make an informed decision for my vote. Many thanks.

When I was putting Life After Death on to one CD, I didn't even put Notorious Thugs on it. Wouldn't put it in the top 10-12 of Life After Death.

crash_override 06-03-2009 04:25 PM

I would say Ready to Die is better as an album than any that 2Pac ever did, but on the whole 2Pac is a better rapper.... and he died first.

iBuProFeN 06-03-2009 06:49 PM

tupac just gives emotion to his songs
which is why i like him better
biggie is good to chill to

Really? I know they're overrated, but I would put that close to the top on Life After Death. Mo Money Mo Problems woul be on there too.

IamAlejo 06-03-2009 07:33 PM

Bone Thugs aren't overrated at all. E 1999 Eternal is a classic.

1. skys the limit
2. hyptnotize
3. kick in the door
4. *****s bleed
5. i gotta story to tell
6. miss u
7. somebodys gotta die
8. goin back to cali
9. ten crack commandments
10. mo money mo problems
11. whats beef
12. youre nobody till somebody....
13. last day

that would probably be my list.

FaSho 06-03-2009 07:50 PM

1.Notorius Thugs
2.Hypnotize
3/Last Day
4.Skys The Limit
5.miss u
6.Another
7.My Downfall
8.Mo Money Mo Problems
9.Niggas Bleed
10.I gotta story To Tell

I really hate Ten Crack commandments for some reason.

IamAlejo 06-03-2009 07:54 PM

I hear you. I wouldn't flip for Notorious Thugs being on there. Just not on my list. Mainly just focusing on the point of if it was 1 disc instead of 2 it would be considered a classic. Instead the fillers on it are pretty ****ing horrible.

someonecompletelyrandom 06-03-2009 07:55 PM

I'm shocked Who Shot Ya isn't on either of your lists...

Probably because it was on Ready to Die and not Life After Death

hitfrankthetank 07-13-2009 06:30 AM

Tupac has more votes?????? What a joke. Biggie hands down what is this..

Webster 07-13-2009 02:53 PM

I think the B.I.G. had a superior flow, but I feel like 2Pac had more of a purpose to rap. Better lyrics.

Miltamec Soundsquinaez 07-13-2009 10:22 PM

I think Biggie's great, but what did he have-1 great album? Ready to Die, and I couldn't even get into the others.

2pac, meanwhile had 2pacalypse Now, Strictly 4 my Nig*az, Me Against the World, and Makaveli. A much better discography imo.

Sure leave out the fact that Ready to Die and Life After Death are two of the best hardcore rap albums ever made.

I will leave that out so it will help with my point.

Life After Death can die again, and be reincarnated into something that doesn't feature P. Diddy, Mase, the Lox, and R. Kelly hopefully.

cupkayke 07-15-2009 02:07 PM

I was raised in a neighborhood where Tupac was celebrated, Biggie not so much. It would be unfair of me to vote seeing as I haven't listened to a lot of the latter's material. Tsk.

Dr.Seussicide 07-16-2009 09:48 AM

I'd have to go with Tupac, I'd rather the poet. The album "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" had a nice compilation of poems from various artists.

Mr. Scarface is Back - Scarface

FrisArvz 07-21-2009 03:55 AM

I like 2pac more than Biggie. =)

sirtoke 07-21-2009 07:04 AM

2Pac has more music and i love all his songs, Biggie has less music but he too is a legend

They will both go down in history as legends of rap.

Just as soon as they actually die, i hear they are livin on a island some place with Elvis and JFK ;)

pretty_fly 07-21-2009 09:06 AM

I'm not a huge fan of either.
But I'd have to say I like 2Pac more.

Now hold on. You can't put up a conspiracy that JFK isn't dead; the right of his fuckin head fell off.

Grotesque Head 07-29-2009 01:48 PM

I love them both, but I think Biggie wins out.

2Pac, despite how good he was, had nothing that matched Ready To Die in my opinion - though Hit Em Up was the best diss track ever.

Akira 07-29-2009 01:51 PM

I'm glad both are dead

So...which one's your favorite?

It's a tired debate but once again: Biggie was a far superior rapper (voice/delivery/style -- better on all counts) and Tupac wrote better lyrics.

Biggie.

Schredds 07-29-2009 08:42 PM

I like alot of 2Pac songs but overall I like BIG better.

Jester 07-31-2009 08:40 PM

Biggie was a Scarface rip-off, big time. 2Pac wasn't very creative, but he was a cultural landmark. Biggie had better flow and maybe better rhyming capabilities, but everything he did, Scarface did ten times better before him on Mr. Scarface is Back. (I referenced it a few posts ago.)

In the end, I'd pick 2Pac just because I felt he put more drive into what he did. I do think 2Pac is far overrated, though.

kouki 08-03-2009 09:18 PM

Damn, this debate never dies. I like em both, but I like pac more. That sounds *** LOL

dollarsandcents 08-05-2009 10:38 AM

Definitely Biggie for me, but thats just my personal opinion.

I fully understand both sides of the argument, but at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference, although I'm not keen on all the posthumous releases, much like the Tupac releases I imagine.

He's just got ridiculous talent -- not to say that Pac doesn't -- but I just like Biggie's stuff more.

I prefer Tupac. To me, Biggie was kind of repetitive. I couldn't listen to two or three songs of his in a row.

I don't want to take anything away from any of these two artists, they were both great. I just prefer Tupac.

PoeticSsoul 08-11-2009 02:29 PM

Biggie was so sick with his flow and he will always be one of the best. For me being a poet I'll have to say Pac. Biggie always made me want to dance and chill with my peoplesz and have a good time. But Pac brought me to a whole nother place. Songs like Keep ya Head up and Brenda's got a baby. True poetry!!!!
