ZiggyStardust 04-02-2013 01:54 AM

Well....

Kanye is a twat for sampling ''21st Century Schizoid Man'' in his song ''21st Century.''

kealyboy 04-02-2013 07:12 PM

Dude's overrated massively

Why? Also, the song is called "Power".

I think you are supposed to read his post and laugh at it but don't comment on it.

but too late you took the bait.

21st Century Schizoid Man is all about two things: rebellion and anguish.
Kanye West doesn't rap about those things.

Simple enough.

Norg 04-03-2013 12:07 PM

Rappers DJ and EDM artist will sample anything under the sun

some of the big ones got like warehouses of music n samples or heck like 20 TB of samples on there Comp

14232949 04-03-2013 01:03 PM

Norg's a little incoherent but what he's saying is accurate.
A large part of hip-hop production is sampling. It's not exactly a rarity.

Kanye doesn't want to be on the radio anymore. Really anticipating what Yeezus is actually going to sound like.

Also;

Funny he says that but Rick Rubin is helping him tweak the album with some last minute changes.

14232949 06-11-2013 10:52 AM

Kanye's an unpredictable one. Rosenberg describes it as 'angry black punk'. We know Kanye's a perfectionist so I wouldn't look into some last minute mastering.

djchameleon 06-11-2013 11:07 AM

It was a bit more than just mastering but additional recording as well. Rick Rubin will most likely make a few of the tracks more radio friendly he has a knack for doing that.

14232949 06-11-2013 11:33 AM

you think they're seriously going to alter that much this late into the game?
It's due out next week.

djchameleon 06-11-2013 11:49 AM

It's not going to be drastic enough changes for a whole different sound but I'm pretty sure Rick helped make at the very least two tracks more radio-friendly than they were before.

Relentless 06-12-2013 12:08 AM

Skeptical about that. Kanye's not really the type to rush production let alone songs.

Scarlett O'Hara 06-15-2013 12:51 AM

I've listened to Yeezus once and honestly I'm not sure I like it. I will give it a few more tries but it's so ridiculously auto tuned.

Goofle 06-15-2013 01:27 AM

I've heard the mixing is bad. That could just be on the leaked version though.

Hmmm, well I may have to wait for that maybe.

Na sounds fine to me.

This album is just ego and noise, the beats are shit and samey and he doesn't say anything worth listening to. He's always been a dick but first impressions on listening to this is he's trying too hard with the content.

SGR 06-15-2013 06:22 AM

Oh boy, the internet is going to be experiencing a music nerd hellstorm if this is bad as most people are saying.

Cuthbert 06-15-2013 06:42 AM

To be fair I've never been a Kanye West fan really. College Dropout was OK but I had gone off him by the time he released Graduation.

This album is literally just full of boasting, guy has an obsession with race too.

Circe 06-16-2013 04:18 PM

Somebody remind me to stop ignoring new info on artists I like for no real reason. I just listened to the New Slaves/Black Skinhead SNL performances and ho-ly shit this stuff is good. I'm fully pumped for another MBDTF now.

Goofle 06-16-2013 05:12 PM

It's nothing like MBDTF and its miles better.

2-5 on this album are the only half decent tracks imo. Then it just fizzles out into mediocrity.

Don't expect another MBDTF.

No way! I feel like the first half of the album is weaker then it grows toward the end with an excellent closer.

i love kanye west reak rapper 1

Haha, while I like this album, there's no way it's on MBDTF level. That album was pure elegant grandiose.

Goofle 06-26-2013 12:09 PM

Snooze fest more like.

I'm with with Goofle on this one. MBDTF bores the hell out of me. The new one is something I might actually want to listen to for enjoyment from time to time.

SGR 06-27-2013 05:32 AM

Hm, that's interesting. MBDTF always seemed to be full of emotional trips and it definitely felt like a journey to me. Oh well, different strokes for different folks I s'pose.

Trust me!

Circe 06-29-2013 04:25 PM

I wonder what his nature and type would be...

Anyway I listened to Yeezus and while MBDTF is way better I still liked it a lot and will definitely be listening to it many more times.

Goofle 06-30-2013 03:31 AM

I really wanna know what's so good about MBDTF? I genuinely like it the least of all of his albums.

Graduation is way more fun, College Dropout has a lot more character/personality and The Late Registration is a brilliant album all round. Oh, and Yeezus.

SGR 06-30-2013 05:34 AM

^No case for 808s and Heartbreaks? ;)

I think MBDTF is just one of those albums that isn't everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I love the flow of the album, the emotional capacity, the extensive and quality guest features, and the best production set of Kanye's career. Oh yeah, and Kanye was pretty much at his lyrical peak.
