Oh yeah, 808's is great too. Musically fantastic and some decent lyrics/themes.

I don't have an issue with autotune and I think Kanye often uses it really well (No Church In The Wild is the first thing that springs to mind) but honestly I can't stand 808's. I think it's just one of those cases of an artist trying to force himself into a more "respectable" style that just doesn't work for him.

That's the best song so don't bother then :D

Haven't listened to Yeezus yet but I don't think I will like it based on the reviews and descriptions I've heard. I really liked 808s for the most part which surprised me but I really only liked Runaway on his last album. I always love his beats but his rhyme style is really hit or miss with me. I thought Mercy sucked fat cock.

Welcome to Heartbreak and Robocop are better than love lockdown |
Nope

lol okay that's your opinion.
I felt really close to Welcome to Heartbreak though. I used to play the crap out of it because I felt the same way he did about life at that certain period of time. |
Was supposed to be all caps, I look more of a douchbag now :(
I think the album is just "solid" and consistent. Not much better than MBDTF, but still is nonetheless. |
Goofle i doubt you've ever typed in all caps your entire life.
|
I loove that Blood on the Leaves track
|
^I still can't believe he decided to sample C-Murder for that track.

The lyrics you mention being combined with strange fruit feel like him desperately trying to court controversy to me, similar to the lyrics of "I'm in It". That's my biggest gripe about this album, the lyrics are so distractingly dumb and juvenile that I wish they were in another language so I could ignore them more easily. |

Check this article out though guys I wanna hear your thoughts on it. Kanye West Is NOT A Jackass |
I agreed with a majority of that album but there were some minor points here and there were I just say outloud. "Nope, You're Wrong!" For example,

Yeah, Kendrick used that 'down with my niggas...' C-Murder line in Section 8.0 as well. It's pretty commonly used.

EDIT: Also A$AP Rocky |
C-Murder is one of the most influential and important rappers ever, what else needs to be said? ;)

Chances are there isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said, but Yeezus definitely isn't Kanye's best work. Decent musically, but underwhelming lyrically.
|
It's an album Kanye needed to make, even if it's not the album people wanted. Some tracks are among the best he's done, but then there's dreck like "I'm in It".
|
^The only thing I didn't care for about I'm In It is the Jamaican-rastafarian guy.
|
Yeah, that was weird. My pal was convinced that was Kanye himself. I told him it wasn't. That prompted a drunken 20 minute shoot argument. Neither of us were of course able to disprove the other, but what a ridiculous statement on his part.

yeah^ it really injected an abrasive forcefulness to it that the song needed to be honest

still, it's cool that he appreciated parts of it and wasn't just like "oh, it's rap music therefore it's terrible", like some older rockers would |
