I think it's pretty good. Beautiful lyrics.

The great "Yeezus" has no respect for his audience.

Why do artists need to have respect for their audience? It's about the music.

I hated the song, auto-tune trash. Why would he have a legend like Paul Mccartney in his song and then make his part so small. Very bad track. The Auto-Tune just ruins any chance of it being remotely listenable for me.

Are people forgetting the fact that Ye' made a record all in Auto-tune, where he literally does not rap on any of the tracks? I respect Kanye for not giving a solitary fuck. That being said, the song kinda sucks. Hope it's not on his next record.

It's already been confirmed as the first single of his next album haha. That being said I love when an artist totally goes against his grain and does something different but only when it still shows quality and not just his creativity. Take Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" album for example.

808s is a great album. Why does everyone cream themselves when guitars are laden with effects but freak out when the same thing is done to a voice? It's an instrument in its own right.

Because an auto-tuned voice at least for a soul lover like me will never match the quality of a genuinely great singer, I think the effects sound terrible and help in no way make a better singer, I'd honestly rather hear any auto-tune song without the auto-tune. I can't speak on the guitar side of your arguement but I'd also imagine people are allowed to treat sounds as different as a guitar to a voice much differently in perspective.

Kanye isn't trying to be a soul singer, and he certainly knows he isn't a good singer, but the fact that he really just makes music for himself that we as his fans happen to enjoy speaks volumes and shows he isn't bound down by public opinion and perception. 808's is quality, and the auto-tune works perfectly for it. Very post-modern if you ask me.

I's creeping up there for me. Probably third behind Late Registration and Yeezus.
