Yeh, and I gave Kanye credit for it, but that has nothing to do with him as an emcee. That is his ability as a producer. My point is the thing I found most interesting about his music is all in his production. Maybe you like his lyrics/performance, but it does nothing for me.

I'm not crazy about his emceeing either, but his strengths shine through regardless.

Take an artist like Jason Derulo, who doesn't do his auto-tuning. He is replacable with any other good looking guy with the confidence to rock out on stage. I mean did you hear his live performance on New Years NYC? The dude can barely sing. His producers make him sound good, and that is why I said:

Most of the people using auto-tune ARE NOT the ones making the interesting music. If you don't understand that you need to take a step back and look at how the music industry works. Half these people don't even write the songs. So what exactly are you trying to give them credit for that is music related? Like I said, musically challenged stage puppets. They are performers not musicians. The music industry cares more about marketability than talent. They can fake talent, they've got that sh*t down to a science.
Have people been lauding Jason Derulo for his talent? I wasn't aware if they had.

Granted, those people sell a lot of records and have the mass appeal of course. But I'm not really concerned with that. If your point is that the people who are actually talented aren't making enough money, then that problem predates autotune by a long stretch.

But I've never known those artists to be regarded as having a lot of talent. Not by music fans in the know, at least. They make easily digestable party, summer music. And before autotune, you had artists like Mariah Carey who were extremely vocally talented, yet made extremely bland music. To me there's no difference there. Whether the vocal talent is there or not, it isn't interesting and I won't listen to it.

I'm surprised Kanye's performance at the Brits hasn't been posted. Did anyone see it?

He performed 'All Day' and had the Grime scene as his backing dancers. I thought the tune was just OK. Taylor Swift seemed to like it.

I expect his album to be announced within a month or so.

I really like All Day. He's already said it will be a surprise release.

Do you mean released with no notice, like that Beyonce album?

I reckon it will be out soon.

Taylor kisses his bum bum to appear "down"

Lionel Ritchie called him out for his performance. It got bad reviews.
