Not a huge Action Bronson fan to be honest, but you are right, pretty disheartening to see him on that track.

Bronson always raps the same and his character gets old as hell.. sounds like Ghostface with a less relentless flow and he raps about exotic women and food.. and most of the production he gets on blows and jfc @ "dude has MTV and BET tattoos, obviously his music sucks." a white dude with BET tattoos? only Riff Raff can pull that off.. "they say riff raff just actin' black, he wildin' on 'em... oh i get it, you just mad cause i'm stylin' on em..." Riff Raff knows what he's doing.. you guys are too caught up in how he looks. Riff Raff >>> snobby intellectual rap.. he's actually entertaining as hell Quote:

people forget how nerdy and silly classic hip hop could be.. and how rap started off as fun party music for entertainment.. Quote:
yeah, Riff Raff isn't trying to paint a goddamn world like Aesop Rock.. but his music is a lot more fun than Aesop Rock's, and there's a time and place for everything. as far as Riff Raff being bad at rapping? yeah right.. he's mad versatile in his flows, he's got styles for days, and his cadence is always on point. plus, he actually has real presence you don't know how long he's been practicing or whatever.. and saying "yeah he practiced for a long time he sucks" is just silly also, what the hell does a retarded athlete have to do with music.. that's such a flawed analogy it's not even funny. you're saying that if a retard makes good music, it doesn't matter because at the end of the day he's still a retard? it's about the end product.. you're sounding like those people who are like "i don't care how good your beats are, if you make them using software and not an MPC, that's whack" |

listen to Larry Bird and tell me that he's not riding the beat.. listen to Jose Canseco and tell me that he's not riding the beat.. go listen to Bird on a Wire and say there's no rhythm in that flow.. you're tripping
and his rhymes sound like "a dyslexic person reading nonsensical rap lyrics in his head"? i don't even know what to say to that.. you obviously listened to like 3 tracks only one time, didn't like his image, maybe his voice, maybe thought "wow this is one of those 'swag' rappers, obviously this is dumb." if you listened to him more you'd see the consistencies in his subject matter.. dude has character and it's interesting to enter the bizarre mind of Riff Raff. like i said, he's somewhere between Kool Keith's absurdity and Lil B's silly swag, and it's a dope blend. and if you actually listened to it without thinking "god this guy looks and acts annoying in my opinion" you'd hear that he has some serious rhythm and expresses it in a lot of different ways.. if you can't see the fun in Riff Raff, you guys are just taking it way too seriously, on some "hey! this isn't providing me with profound insights! this isn't thought provoking rap about life!" like i said, there's a time and place for everything.. there's a time to eat your wheaties but it's okay to have a slice of pizza and a soda once in a while. variety is the spice of life, fellow knuckleheads |
Here dude, let me try to exemplify what im saying.
Kool A.D. raps absolute non-sense for about 3 minutes. Thematically it's about as absent of anything like Riff Raff, but still because he can actually rap and flow it's engaging to listen to. Riff Raff doesn't have that ability. |
