Oh and the best show I've ever been to was my first ICP show. Hands down. Was one of the bombest nights I've ever had even though I got sick as a dog cause I got drenched in Faygo and it was like thirty degrees and I didn't have a change of clothes. They ****ing own a stage. They purchase it. They build their means of production on it. And they shoot Faygo off of it.

The reason I stopped liking them as much is because I wasn't into the goofy fun and hearing a bar about J's sensitive testicles in Let's Toast definitely didn't help.

However to discredit them or try to exclude them from hip hop or music is extremely ignorant and typically just people regurgitating what other people say. Which is totally backed by the person claiming that they are the worst things to rap while admitting to not knowing much of their music.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Lmao @ comparing them to slick Rick. Yea let's just ignore the 30 years of progress since then.

I'll give you this their rapping is definitely on par with the sugar hill gang.

Anybody that actually respects and loves hip hop wouldn't discredit Slick Rick like that.

Then you have to consider the fact ICP and Slick started around the same time and ICP actually did evolve with hip hop while keeping a lucrative career the whole time while Slick Rick kind of fizzled because he kept the same formula.

Shut up Utah

I respect slick Rick for what he was... But what he is, is antiquated and simplistic. The fact you had to go that far back to make them sound like decent rappers is very telling

And they never evolved " with hip hop" cause hip hop never accepted them. They evolved with their cult like fan base.

What do you mean? They're both 90s rappers and Slick Rick has always been praised for his story telling which is what I compared them to him for. You also conveniently ignored the part where I said they evolved with the genre.

It's not my fault you pretend to love hip hop and have to lean on inaccurate stereotypes about where I live as a qualifier.
